SRI SATHYA SAI AAROGYA VAHINI AYUDA A LOS NECESITADOS DURANTE LA PANDÉMIA DEL COVID-19, Y EL CICLÓN ANFÁN.
La crisis de COVID-19 ha devastado a millones de personas en todo el mundo. Antes de que el estado de Bengala Occidental pudiera siquiera hacer frente a la pandemia del Corona virus, el ciclón Amphan, uno de los peores desastres de la memoria humana, azotó la región con fuertes vientos y fuertes lluvias con inundaciones que se extendieron quince kilómetros hacia el interior, posponiendo la llegada a tierra con las mayores indundaciones en las zonas costeras de Bengala Occidental.
Sri Sathya Sai Aarogya Vahini, atendiendo al toque de clarín, se volvió inmediatamente para centrar su atención en los desamparados e indigentes de Bengala Occidental afectados por la doble embestida.
Aarogya Vahini es una Iniciativa de Divulgación de la Salud Pública que cuenta con furgonetas médicas móviles de fabricación exclusiva, equipadas con equipos médicos y equipos de laboratorio innovadores y portátiles de alta gama. Aarogya Vahini ofrece servicios de salud completamente gratuitos en materia de detección, diagnóstico y consulta con apoyo médico y de investigación, y facilita las cirugías de remisión que conectan a las instituciones de atención terciaria mediante la telemedicina. Con su programa de atención de salud para enfermedades no transmisibles y para la madre y el niño divinos, el equipo garantiza los mejores servicios de atención primaria de salud posibles, hasta el último kilómetro, a la población rural de Bengala occidental, totalmente gratuitos.
Con el inicio de la pandemia COVID-19, el equipo lanzó rápidamente una campaña para atender las necesidades críticas de la población rural de Bengala Occidental en medio de movimientos restringidos, suministros, mano de obra limitada, preocupaciones sanitarias y regulaciones necesarias.
Con un enfoque clínico, el equipo se centró en garantizar la seguridad de los médicos y los equipos sanitarios que prestan servicio en primera línea, junto con los pacientes, mediante la instalación de quioscos Covid y túneles de saneamiento en los hospitales. Se ofreció como voluntario para el apoyo en el terreno para entregar el equipo de protección personal para garantizar la seguridad de los guerreros Covid.
Se suministró a los pacientes rurales con enfermedades crónicas que padecen hipertensión y diabetes medicamentos de mantenimiento y se proporcionó nutrición a las madres de recién nacidos para reducir al mínimo los incidentes y las probabilidades de hospitalización en esos tiempos difíciles, con la ayuda de trabajadores sanitarios comunitarios capacitados, y una mayor vigilancia mediante la telemedicina
El dedicado equipo de Sri Sathya Sai Aarogya Vahini, también llegó a lugares remotos de siete distritos de Bengala occidental, donde distribuyó alimentos y suministros esenciales, asegurando comidas a miles de hogares con geriatría, recién nacidos y jornaleros sin trabajo. También reforzaron las tiendas de cocina en cinturones remotos con voluntarios locales para las comidas diarias de la comunidad.
El ciclón Amphan dejó incontables chozas sin techo y casas de barro sumergidas en el agua, ¡dejando a miles de personas sin hogar! Al llegar a partes de la costa de Bengala Occidental para presenciar varios grupos de aldeas completamente aisladas por los distribuidores del río, las cocinas comunitarias de socorro recibieron apoyo ya que sirvieron comidas dos veces al día a miles de personas, todos los días
Los cruzados enmascarados navegaron la milla extra en medio de la crisis de COVID-19 en alta humedad, mareas altas y lluvias para ofrecer comida seca, leche y lona al interior de la mayoría de las islas del área de Sunderbans.
Ante la necesidad desesperada de asistencia sanitaria en estos cinturones remotos, el equipo médico móvil que combatió estas dos crisis sin precedentes, ofreció servicios de atención primaria de salud con medicamentos, desinfectantes y mascarillas, asegurando al mismo tiempo todos los aspectos de las directrices de seguridad, promoviendo la higiene de la comunidad, el distanciamiento físico y el uso de equipos de protección, tanto para los cuidadores como para los beneficiarios. De este modo, los dedicados voluntarios del equipo de Sri Sathya Sai Aarogya Vahini, continúan la misión divina de difundir el amor y la compasión a través de la atención sanitaria.

SRI SATHYA SAI AAROGYA VAHINI AIDS THE NEEDY DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND CYCLONE AMPHAN DISASTER

The COVID-19 crisis has devastated millions of people throughout the world. Before the state of West Bengal could even cope with the Coronavirus pandemic, Cyclone Amphan, one of the worst disasters in human memory buffeted the region with strong winds and heavy rains with floods extending fifteen kilometres inwards, post landfall with the greatest indundations in the coastal areas of West Bengal.
Sri Sathya Sai Aarogya Vahini heeding the clarion call, immediately turned to focus its attention to the helpless and destitute in West Bengal affected by the double onslaught.
Aarogya Vahini is an Public Health Outreach Initiative with uniquely fabricated mobile medical vans, equipped with high-end innovative and portable medical equipment and lab kits. Aarogya Vahini offers completely free of cost health services in screening, diagnosis, consultation with medicinal and investigative support and facilitates referral surgeries connecting tertiary care institutions through telemedicine. With its Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) and Divine Mother and Child Healthcare Programme, the team ensures the best possible primary healthcare services, to the last mile, to the rural population of West Bengal, totally free of cost.
With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the team promptly launched a campaign to address the critical needs of the rural population in West Bengal amidst restricted movements, supplies, limited manpower, health concerns and necessary regulations.
With a clinical approach, the team focused on ensuring the safety of the doctors and health teams serving on the frontline, along with the patients, by the installation of Covid Kiosks and Sanitisation tunnels in hospitals. Volunteering for on-the-ground support to deliver Personal Protective Equipment to ensure safety for the Covid warriors.
Rural chronic NCD patients with hypertension and diabetes were supplied with maintenance medicines and nutrition was provided for mothers with new-borns to minimise incidences and probabilities of hospitalisations in such trying times, with the help of trained Community Health Workers, further monitoring through telemedicine
The dedicated team of Sri Sathya Sai Aarogya Vahini, also reached out to remote locations in seven districts of West Bengal, where they distributed food and essential supplies, assuring meals for thousands of households with geriatrics, new-borns and day-wagers out of work. They also strengthened kitchen stores in remote belts with local volunteers for community meals on daily basis.
Cyclone Amphan left countless huts without roofs and submerged mud-houses in water, leaving thousands without homes at all! Reaching parts of coastal West Bengal to witness several clusters of villages completely cut off by the river distributaries, relief community kitchens were supported as they served meals twice a day to thousands, every day
The masked crusaders navigated the extra mile amid the COVID-19 crisis in high humidity, high tides and rains to offer dry food, milk and tarpaulin to the interior most isles of the Sunderbans area.
With the desperate need of healthcare in these remote belts, the mobile medical team combating these two unprecedented crises, offered primary health services with medicines, sanitisers and masks, whilst ensuring all aspects of the safety guidelines, promoting community hygiene, physical distancing and use of protective gears, both for caregivers and beneficiaries. Thus the dedicated volunteers of the Sri Sathya Sai Aarogya Vahini team, continue the divine mission of spreading love and compassion through healthcare.
