¿Cuál Es La Impureza Que Hace Impuro El Amor Divino?

Issue One Hundred and Fifty Four - February 24, 2019

The less there is ‘I’, more of Sai. What is Sai? Sai is love. Love is Sai. The scriptures say Brahmavid Brahmaiva Bhavati, The one who knows this becomes this.  Therefore, the one who knows love becomes love. And the one who becomes love, does everything that love does. Love thinks through such a person, love speaks through such a person, love acts through such a person. Such a person’s existence becomes only incidental, only instrumental for love to act.                                                                                                                        -Baba

INNER VIEW
By Sri Madhusudan
Karma, Bhakti and Jnana

Swami never misses an opportunity to teach a spiritual lesson out of seemingly mundane acts. Lighting a lamp in the room of one of the teachers, while He visited the hostel, was no exception.

So, as Swami entered the room of the teacher, He was welcomed to a small altar in the corner of the room and was asked to light the lamp. As Swami struck the match and lighted the flame, He remarked, “Striking the match to create fire is Karma Marga - path of action. The lamp filled with combustible oil bereft of water, is the heart full of devotion to God and bereft of the world, and so it represents Bhakti Marga - path of devotion, finally the flame lighted with the fire of match stick and sustained by the oil of lamp, is the light of the wisdom or Jnana Marga – path of wisdom. Therefore, each of these paths co-exist to complement each other and are not distinct or different. Like-wise you too must teach here, with love for God and it will ensure that you will realise God one day!”

To the teacher, a serious spiritual aspirant who found the mundane tasks of teaching an impediment at times, Swami cleared the confusion by a simple act of lighting an oil lamp right in his own room and thereby in his heart too.

DIVINE VISIT - PALM MEADOWS, WHITEFIELD, BANGALORE - FEBRUARY 16, 2019

On the morning of Saturday 16th February, Bhagawan proceeded to Whitefield, Bangalore for a visit to two residences and a public Satsang. Bhagawan first visited the residence of Dr Suresh Kodapala, a former student of the Alike campus, a professor and in-charge of Neurology at the Vydehi hospital and a trustee of the Each One Educate One Foundation. Departing from Muddenahalli in the morning, Bhagawan reached the residence, Sai Sadana and was welcomed by Dr Kodapala, his wife Mrs Veena Kodapala and their son Vivek Kodapala. Bhagawan spent some time interacting with the family and guests and thereafter He proceeded to Palm Meadows, the residence of Sri Sampath Narasimhachari, a long standing devotee of Bhagawan and Chairperson of the Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust.
After Sri Sampath and his family offered a traditional welcome to Bhagawan and performed Pada Puja, Bhagawan continued to the Pandal where the public Satsang was to be held. Around five-hundred devotees had gathered, not just from Karnataka but also from other neighbouring states and Bhagawan lovingly walked among all the devotees, accepting letters and flowers and blessing everybody before taking His throne on the dais.
The morning’s proceedings began with a musical offering to Lord Ganesha by Mrs Vatsala Sampath, a Carnatic musician and aficionado, along with her students. Sister Mathangi, daughter of Sri Sampath then welcomed the gathering, briefly narrating some of her experiences with Bhagawan. This was followed by a briefing by Brother Sathyanarayana on Bhagawan’s ongoing global mission. He spoke about the various service projects being undertaken and played a short video summarising these activities.
Sister Mathangi then introduced Sister Geetha Sundar who presented a Bharatanatyam dance recital. Sister Geetha performed a beautiful bouquet of newly choreographed dances set to various mantras, music and bhajans. Bhagawan then commanded Sri Sampath to say few words and in his short talk, he reminded....

IN THIS WORLD OF DUALITY, OF JOY AND SORROW, HOW CAN YOU BE HAPPY ALWAYS?
DIVINE DISCOURSE SUMMARY
FEBRUARY 17, 2019
This world consists of duality. If there is success on one end, there is always failure on the other side too. No one can live constantly always in happiness, always in success. They also have to face the opposites once in a while. Because that is the way the world has been created, with duality, Dvaitam. When things turn the opposite way and it is no more success, it is no more praise, people are blaming you, people are ridiculing you, how can you be happy even in that situation is the question that you must ask.  The answer to that lies only in Bhakti. A devotee is always contented, is always happy, is always satisfied with whatever happens in life. If something good happens, he attributes it to the grace and compassion of the Divine.
And when the things turn the opposite way, the person attributes even that to the grace of God saying, “God must have already reduced my troubles only to so much that I could bear and therefore, I am still grateful to God for what I have received. However, the one who is not with Bhakti but with Bhukti, the worldly feelings, would swell up in pride when things are favourable and will shrink with great dejection when things turn the other way. The only way to remain happy is to have this feeling of devotion and gratitude for God for everything that comes your way. It is devotion alone which can protect you, which can insulate you, which can make you strong enough to face all situations with a smile. Remain in good company always. Good company is God’s company. Seek out the company of noble people, of devoted people so that your thoughts of devotion and nobility do not get affected by the wrong company.
You are passing through an age which is a difficult one. Mind is extremely energetic and also very very restless. By constant practice and by detachment, one can definitely keep mind....

WHAT IS THE IMPURITY THAT RENDERS DIVINE LOVE IMPURE?
 DIVINE DISCOURSE SUMMARY
FEBRUARY 14, 2019

We are all born with this divine love within us. All other feelings, all other emotions are unnatural to us; the most natural, most spontaneous, most inner and innate emotion of every being is pure divine love. The same love which is being given to us by God as a gift when we are born, gets in a way contaminated, distorted by the associations that we make as we grow along. What is this impurity which contaminates this divine love? Desire! Desire renders this pure love impure. The purest love is the love for God which is bereft of all expectations, all desires. It loves for love’s sake. We love God because God loves us. There is no other reason why we must love God. Our joy is to simply love. Love itself is our own reward. Love expects nothing but love. Love gets nothing but love. Love fulfils itself by loving. It is unfortunate that this purest of the divine love is misunderstood, misinterpreted and misbehaved in a particular way in the world today because of ignorance.
To practise this kind of love, one can develop devotion for God because of all the kinds of love that is there in the world, this is the closest, this is the highest, this is the purest of all. Dear ones, there is no power greater than love. Purest love for God is the highest of all. Develop such love. That will alone help you to prosper, to gain everything, ultimately attain even immortality. Narasimha Murthy is praising, “Swami is doing so many things; it is only possible for Swami.” Narasimha Murthy doesn’t know the whole truth. The truth is it is love alone....
