Cap. 25 - Un pequeño guijarro, lleno de odio injusto, en el poderoso Río Nílo lleno de amor.

Escúchenme, ustedes que conocen la justicia, ustedes que tienen mis enseñanzas en sus corazones; no teman los reproches de los demás, y no te desanimes cuando te injurien. 

- Isaías 51: 7

¿Puede un guijarro bloquear el flujo del poderoso Nilo? ¿Hay alguna fuerza que pueda retrasar la Misión de Aquel que es el tiempo personificado? ¿Hay alguien que pueda sorprender desprevenidamente a aquel que todo lo sabe para quien todo el tiempo, el pasado, el presente y el futuro, es AHORA? ¿Hay alguna partícula en el universo, de la que Él no tenga conocimiento, o hay un átomo que pueda tratar de dañarlo? ¿Hay alguien que pueda evitar el diseño de la Divinidad? 

¡Pero el guijarro olvidó que se estaba entrometiendo en los asuntos del Uno, cuyo poder puede hacer añicos las montañas eternas y nivelar las colinas eternas! 

Esta es una historia de una hierba de marihuana solitaria en un jardín de albahaca santa. Esta hierba es la única de su clase en un continente lleno de Maravillosas Enmiendas de Amor Divino. Mientras que muchos del país y también de todo el continente (sacerdotes y padres, estudiantes de sus escuelas y campesinos de las aldeas más remotas, sus devotos y ex alumnos) están jubilosos por recibir a su SEÑOR, esta hierba sigue siendo el hombre extraño.

A la pregunta de cómo resultó que una mala hierba tan desagradable podría crecer entre maravillosas plantas sagradas, porque normalmente las malezas también serán menos dañinas entre las plantas más delicadas, la respuesta y explicación que dan los agrónomos y antropólogos es ¡Es una hierba exótica infiltrada recientemente!

Veamos cómo es este el caso de no mostrar gratitud a Dios y Sus devotos: "Cuando un extraño peregrina contigo en tu tierra, no le harás mal". Tratarás al extranjero que vive contigo como nativo, y lo amarás como a ti mismo, porque fuiste extranjero en la tierra de Egipto. Yo soy el Señor tu Dios '. - Levítico 19:33, 34. 

La otra transgresión flagrante es que, negando la justicia a los visitantes, la hierba es culpable de acuerdo con el capítulo 24, versículo 19 del Deuteronomio, que dice: "Maldito cualquiera que niegue justicia a los extranjeros, huérfanos, o viudas '. 

Por cierto, a través de un desafortunado giro de los acontecimientos, la hierba en su propio subcontinente se había convertido, en el pasado, en un refugiado y huyó a otra parte del mismo subcontinente y disfrutó de su generosa hospitalidad. Ahora, aquí, muchos años después, en este nuevo continente sagrado en busca de pastos más verdes, y con la riqueza y el poder recién adquiridos, incluso se olvidó de mostrar un poco de gratitud a los visitantes de su lugar de origen: el subcontinente indio.

Ya basta de hierba, ahora concentrémonos en la cosecha principal.

Tal vez mirando la aparente maldad de los perpetradores detrás del episodio, podría parecer que merecen ser condenados; pero, para los mortales, es muy difícil comprender el significado Divino detrás de ello. 

Aquí hay algunos consejos que pueden ayudarnos a comprender su significado:

(a) En la silenciosa Misión de Dios, el episodio alertó y despertó tanto a los creyentes como a los no creyentes, para ver por sí mismos la gran gloria de la Misión de Baba. Solo después de este incidente la gente se enteró de los megaproyectos de servicio iniciados en Naya Raipur, en la parte central de la India, cuatro años antes y muchos otros en todo el mundo.

(b) Contrariamente a la creencia popular de que el personaje de Kaikeyi es una malvada en el Raamaayana, Swami elogia su papel en Su Misión como el que trabajó en Su Misión según Su escritura y aún obtuvo un mal nombre. Sabiendo muy bien la naturaleza del rol, ella voluntariamente aceptó jugarlo en una Avataridad anterior de nuestro Swami.

(c) En cualquier historia, incluso la de un Dios, los giros y vueltas son una parte integral, tal vez para hacerlo interesante y animado. El tipo de historias "Vivieron felices para siempre" puede no atraer a una audiencia. Necesitan suspenso de Hitchcock y la comedia de Charlie Chaplin y todas las nueve formas de expresión de la tristeza a la ira que cualquier buen libro o juego debe contener. 

Para transformar a la audiencia del tamaño de un universo, la historia de nuestro Swami también necesita todas estas navarasas (nueve sabores estéticos del amor paterno y la piedad filial, risa y comedia, compasión y misericordia, furia, heroísmo, horror y terror, disgusto y aversión; maravilla y asombro, paz, tranquilidad y compostura). Solo entonces los devotos disfrutarán su historia durante generaciones en diversas formas, impresas, artísticas, auditivas y de video, ya que ahora disfrutan de los actos heroicos infantiles de Rama y Krishna.

(d) Tal vez está reuniendo todo el odio y los celos de todo el mundo y plantarlo en un pequeño guijarro hasta que pueda destruirlo, como lo profetizó Sensei, como se menciona en otro capítulo.

(e) Con los Avatares anteriores, de acuerdo con la escritura Divina, los siervos de Dios - Sus porteros en Su Morada Celestial - nacieron como demonios y desafiaron a Dios en cada paso, y en el proceso, recordaban constantemente a Dios, incluso más que sus devotos que lo recuerdan con amor. ¡Finalmente, estos demonios también alcanzaron la liberación, porque cantar el nombre de Dios, incluso con odio desordenado, es también una forma de devoción!

(f) Dios no desea la condenación de nadie; Él salva a todos. Simplemente elimina las plagas y las hormigas blancas del árbol con una aplicación de bioplaguicidas suaves y salva el árbol. Cuando el lavador quita las manchas de la camisa blanca, lo que queda es la camisa blanca pura. Del mismo modo, dado que las creaciones de Dios son inherentemente buenas, cuando Dios elimina lo malo, todo lo que queda es bueno, la bondad original.

(g) Como este Avatar solo se ocupa de la transformación de los malvados y no de su destrucción, el tratamiento puede no ser como el que se narra en Mateo 13:30; solo Dios sabe qué es beneficioso para el individuo y la sociedad.

"No permitas que alguna desconfianza sobre Mí, se convierta en tuya; no permitas que la agitación de otra persona con la vida, se convierta en tu fuente de pérdida de descanso; y no permitas que la ceguera de otro hacia Mí, también resulte en tu pretensión de perder la visión. Si me has encontrado a Mí, ¡debes guardarme a Mí! "

Chap. 25 - A Tiny Pebble Which Is Filled with Unfair Hatred in the Love-Filled Mighty River Niger.

Listen to me, you who know righteousness, you people who have my teaching in your hearts; do not fear the reproach of others, and do not be dismayed when they revile you. 

— Isaiah 51:7

Can a pebble block the flow of the mighty Nile? Is there any force that can delay the Mission of the One who is himself time personified? Is there anyone who can catch unawares that all-knowing One for whom all time – the past, the present and the future – is NOW? Is there a single particle in the universe of which He is not aware, or is there an atom that can try to harm Him? Is there anyone who can avert the design of Divinity? But the pebble forgot that it was meddling in the affairs of the One whose power can shatter the everlasting mountains and level the eternal hills! This is a tale of a solitary marijuana weed in a garden of holy basil. This weed is the only one of its kind across a continent full of wonderful Embodiments of Divine Love. While many from the country and also the entire continent – priests and fathers, students of His schools and peasants from remotest of villages, His devotees and alumni – are jubilant to receive their LORD, this weed remained the odd man out.

To the question as to how it came about that such an obnoxious weed could grow among wonderful sacred plants – because normally weeds, also, will be of the less damaging kind among the more delicate plants – the answer and explanation the agronomists and anthropologists give is that it is a recently-infiltrated exotic weed!

Let us see how this is a case of failure to show gratitude to God and His devotees: ‘When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God’. – Leviticus 19:33, 34. The other blatant transgression is, by denying justice to the visitors, the weed is guilty according to Ch 24, Verse 19 of Deuteronomy, which says: ‘Cursed is anyone who denies justice to foreigners, orphans, or widows’. Incidentally, through an unfortunate turn of events, the weed in its own subcontinent, had, in the past, itself become a refugee and fled to another part of the same subcontinent and enjoyed its generous hospitality. Now, here, many years later, in this new holy continent in search of greener pastures and, with the newly-acquired affluence and power, it even forgot to show a bit of gratitude to the visiting people of its place of origin – the Indian subcontinent. 

Enough about the weed, now let us concentrate on the main crop.

Maybe looking at the apparent wickedness of the perpetrators behind the episode, it might appear to deserve to be condemned; but, for mortals, it is very difficult to fathom the Divine significance behind it. Here are some pointers that may help us to understand its significance:

(a) In the otherwise silent Mission of God, the episode alerted and woke up both believers and non-believers to see for themselves the grand glory of the ongoing Mission of Baba. Only after this incident did people come to know about the mega service projects started in Naya Raipur in the central part of India four years earlier and many others elsewhere across the globe.

(b) Contrary to the popular belief that the character of Kaikeyi is a wicked one in the Raamaayana, Swami eulogises her role in His Mission as the one who worked in His Mission as per His script and still earned a bad name. Knowing full well the nature of the role, she willingly accepted to play it in an earlier Avatarhood of our Swami.

(c) In any story, even that of a God, the twists and turns are an integral part, maybe to make it interesting and lively. The ‘They lived happily ever after’ type of stories may not attract an audience. They need Hitchcock’s suspense and Charlie Chaplin’s comedy and all the nine forms of expressions from sadness to anger that any good book or play must contain. To transform the audience of the size of a universe, our Swami’s story also needs all these navarasas (nine aesthetic flavours of parental love and filial piety; laughter and comedy; compassion and mercy; fury; heroism; horror and terror; disgust and aversion; wonder and amazement; and peace, tranquility and composure). Only then will the devotees enjoy His Story for generations to come in various forms – in print, art form, audio, and video – as they are now enjoying the childhood heroic acts of Rama and Krishna.

(d) Maybe He is gathering all the hatred and jealousy from the whole world and planting it in a small pebble till He can blast it, as Sensei prophesied, as mentioned elsewhere in another chapter.

(e) With the earlier Avatars, according to the Divine script, God’s servants – His door-keepers at His Celestial Abode – were born as demons and challenged God at every step and, in the process, they were in constant remembrance of God, even more than His devotees who remember Him with love. Finally, these demons also attained liberation, because chanting God’s name, even with inordinate hatred, is also a form of devotion! 

(f) God does not desire anyone’s damnation; He saves all. He simply removes the pests and white ants from the tree with an application of mild bio-pesticides and saves the tree. When the washer-man removes the stains from the white shirt, what remains is the pure white shirt. Likewise, since God’s creations are inherently good, when God removes the bad, all that remains is good, the original goodness.

(g) As this Avatar is only concerned with the transformation of the wicked and not their destruction, the treatment may not be like that of the one narrated in Matthew 13:30; only God knows what is beneficial to the individual and to society.

“Let not another’s mistrust of Me become yours; let not another’s agitation with life become your source of losing rest; and let not another’s blindness to Me result in your pretence of losing vision, too. If you have found Me – you must keep Me!”
