Cuando hay verdad, rectitud y amor, la patria será extremadamente feliz y nos concederá paz y generosidad. Escucha, ¡oh valeroso hijo de la tierra!

Queridos hijos de la India,

El país no se trata de la tierra. Se trata de su gente. Un país no es más que la gente que vive en esa tierra. Al igual que un hogar no es un edificio de ladrillo y mortero, es una familia que vive dentro. Uno puede tener una mansión muy lujosa, pero si la gente tiene malentendidos entre sí, ¿para qué sirve esta casa palaciega? Del mismo modo, un país no puede ser grande por sus recursos: minerales, ríos y campos, sino por la gente que debería vivir en paz y armonía. 
Las escrituras describen a Sathyam Vada (promulgar), Dharmam Chara (Digan la Verdad, practiquen la Rectitud). Sin embargo, la difícil situación de este gran país es Sathyam Vadha(destruir) y Dharmam Chara ( Destruyan la verdad y practiquen la rectitud.....juego de palabras...

Mientras esta gran cultura de la India, no haya encontrado resonancia dentro de su juventud, estará en un estado de decadencia. A decir verdad, el país no necesita intelectuales, soldados u otras personas de empresa. 
Pero si necesita personas que puedan decir la verdad y seguir la conducta correcta sin medir las consecuencias. Por el bien, de algunos logros egoístas, y de los propios logros personales, si no seguimos el aforismo de la verdad y la rectitud, no hay futuro para este país.

Sin verdad y rectitud, el país no puede progresar. Queridos, antes de convertirse en alguien, intenten ser hombres y mujeres de carácter y hablen la verdad siempre, siguiendo siempre la conducta correcta.

Madiyal Narayan Bhat era un hombre joven cuando decidió hacer algo por el país, en lugar de ver la difícil situación del país. 
Hoy, las personas están dispuestas a quejarse y criticar al gobierno del país, pero ¿estamos dispuestos a resolverlo y asumir nuestra responsabilidad? 
Con simplemente llorar sobre los problemas de este país, ¿podemos hacernos cargo y sacrificar necesidades para llevar a esta nación a su gloria?

Fue así, que Madiyal Narayan Bhat asumió la tarea de llevar a este país a la paz y al respeto, a su manera. Iba de aldea en aldea, de ciudad en ciudad, reuniendo jóvenes e inspirando a la gente con su idealismo y patriotismo. Además de hablar, también asumió la tarea de educar a las masas, para convertir a los niños y niñas en personas de buen carácter. Él habló de sus ideales y también llevo sus discursos.

Queridos, no solo son seguidores, sino líderes de la nación. Nunca olviden quiénes son realmente, de dónde vienen o a dónde pertenecen cada uno de ustedes, tienen una semilla de Verdad y Dharma dentro de ustedes para cambiar el país. Uno puede ser perdonado si no sabe lo que está bien y lo que está mal. Pero sabiéndolo, si actúan mal, entonces nadie les puede perdonar.

Muchos han sacrificado sus vidas en el altar de la libertad y han contribuido al país. Sin embargo, no podemos continuar así por mucho tiempo. Debemos sacrificarnos, y estar a la altura de las circunstancias, trabajando para el país. Ya no podremos disfrutar del fruto de la independencia. Antes éramos esclavos de un gobierno colonial, hoy somos esclavos de nuestro propio egoísmo y deseos. 
Decimos que tenemos Swatantra - autocontrol. ¿Pero, qué es esto? Swa significa auto. Tantra, bajo la influencia del control. En una época pasada, alguien más nos decía lo que debemos hacer con nuestras vidas. Pero hoy dictamos nuestras acciones nosotros mismos. Deberíamos ser el Atman y no la mente. El Atman es la regla o el controlador. Es entonces cuando tendremos Swadhinata (libertad). De lo contrario, 
seremos gobernados por los seis arshadvargas (son los seis enemigos de la mente, kama (lujuria), krodha (ira), lobha (codicia), moha (apego), mada (orgullo), y matsarya (celos)), y seremos esclavos de ellos. Por lo tanto, la necesidad de momento es redimirnos de nuestro propio egoísmo y mezquindades y vivir bajo el libre dominio de nuestro Atma.

Un comienzo, siempre es hecho por unos pocos. Mientras lideren con el ejemplo serán de gran utilidad para el futuro de esta nación. Nunca olviden su responsabilidades ante su país , antes de exigir sus derecho. Cambien ustedes mismos y a otros sirviendo a su país. Con estas bendiciones, cierro mi discurso para el Día de la Independencia.

When there is truth, righteousness and love, the motherland will be extremely happy and she will grant us peace and bounty. Listen, oh courageous son of the soil!

Dear Children of India,

The country is not about the land. It's about it's people. A country is but the people who reaode in that land. Just like a home is not a building of brick and mortar, it is a family that lives within. One may have a very luxurious mansion, but if the people have misunderstandings between each other, what's the use of this palatial house? Likewise, a country cannot be great by it's resources: minerals, rivers and fields, but the people should be living in peace and harmony. The scriptures describe Satyam Vada, Dharmam Chara. However, the plight of this great country is Satyam Vadha and Dharmam Chara

It is when this great culture of India has not found resonance within it's youth that it will be in a state of decline. Truthfully, the country doesn't need intellectuals, soldiers or other people of enterprise. But it needs people who can speak the truth and follow the right conduct in all consequences. For the sake of some selfish gains and one's own personal gains, if we do not follow the dictum of truth and righteousness, there is no future for this country.

Without truth and righteousness, the country cannot progress. Dear ones, before you become anyone, try and be men and women of character and speak the truth always, following right conduct always. Madiyal Narayan Bhat was a young man when he decided to do something for the country instead of seeing the plight of the country. Today, people are willing to complain and criticise the state of the country, but are we willing to resolve it and take responsibility? By merely crying about the problems of this country, can we take upon ourselves of sacrificing your needs and taking this nation back to it's glory? And so, Madiyal Narayan Bhat took upon this task of taking this country to peace and respect in his small way. He would village to village, city to city, gathering young mins and inspiring people with his idealism and patriotism. Apart from speaking, he also took upon the task of educating the masses to turn young boys and girls in people of good character. He spoke of his ideals and also walked the talk.

Dear Ones, you are not merely followers, but leaders of the nation. Never forget who u truly are, where u come from or where u belong for each one you have a seed of truthfulness and Dharma within u to change the country. One can be forgiven if you do not know what is right and wrong. But knowing it, if u act wrongly, then no one can forgive you.

Many have sacrificed their lives at the altar of freedom and done their bit for the country. However, we cannot continue like this for long. We must sacrifice ourselves, rise to the occasion and work for the country. We won't be able to enjoy the fruit of freedom anymore. Earlier we were slaves to a colonial rule, today we are slaves our own selfishness and desires. We say we have got Swatantra. But what is it? Swa means self. Tantra, under the influence of control. In a bygone era, someone else told us what we should do with our lives,. But today we dictating our actions ourselves. This We should be the Atman and not the mind. The Atman is the ruler or controller. That is when we will have Swadhinata. Else, we will be ruled by the six arshadvargas and be slave to them. Therefore, the need of the hour is to redeem ourselves from our own selfishness and pettiness and live under the free rule of our Atma.

A beginning has been made by a few if you. As you lead by example, know that it would be of great service to the furture of this nation. May you all never forget your responsibility to your country before you demand your right. Redeem yourself and others by serving your country. With these blessings, I close my discourse for the Independence Day.
