En un satsang celebrado en la presencia divina en Kuala Lumpur, Malasia, el 11 de agosto de 2017 cuando se le preguntó cómo superar la dualidad, esto es lo que dijo Swami:
Pregunta: Swami, tengo una pregunta sobre la unidad en la diversidad y la unidad de Dios. Intentamos ver la unidad de Dios en todo, sin embargo, siempre parece que la dualidad gana, ya sea entre familiares, parientes, vecinos, en el trabajo o con nuestros líderes. A veces sentimos que la dualidad prevalece sobre la unidad de Dios. Aunque tratamos de ver a Dios en todo y practicar la unidad en la diversidad, siempre hay un sentimiento de que la dualidad gana. ¿Podría ayudarnos a resolver esta situación?
Swami: La naturaleza del mundo es dualidad. Es natural que el agua fluya por una pendiente. Bombear agua hacia arriba contra una pendiente es difícil. Por lo tanto, experimentar la diversidad, la dualidad o las diferencias es muy natural para alguien con visión y enfoque mundanos. Todos se dirigen hacia allí, ya que es la forma más fácil de hacerlo, y la forma más fácil es ir a la deriva. Sin embargo, aquel que quiera nadar en contra de esa marea hacia la unidad debe esforzarse más, oponerse a los principios generales por la visión que desarrolle en cuanto a los deseos mundanos, el egoísmo, las individualidades y el ego, que le obligan a observar las diferencias.
Lo que debería pasar es que debes aferrarte a los principios por los que has estado de pie, no ceder a las ideas inferiores de división, diferencias y dualidades. Depende de ti experimentar, comprender y proceder con estos sentimientos de los que Swami ha hablado. Si te aferras a la verdad y al dharma, sabiendo con certeza que el dharma te protegerá, para que no te dañen, te asegurarás de hacer lo correcto, incluso si sucede de manera gradual o eventual. Aferrarse al dharma es muy importante. Si crees en la unidad, si crees en la unión, entonces aferrarte a esos sentimientos y no cedas a las diferencias estrechas y egoístas que otros puedan predicar.
Verdaderamente, si eres fuerte en tu convicción, las cosas cambiarán para ti. No cedas demasiado fácilmente a las formas de pensar o de presión de otras personas. Es por eso que debes defender tus principios y valores.
Tigrett estaba diciendo lo mismo. Algunos comienzan con un gran idealismo pero finalmente se rinden debido a la presión de los compañeros para encajar, lo que resulta en la renuncia al idealismo y al entusiasmo, lo que no es correcto. Debes estar dispuesto incluso a estar solo, si tienes razón.
Tigrett estaba diciendo lo mismo. Algunos comienzan con un gran idealismo pero finalmente se rinden debido a la presión de los compañeros para encajar, lo que resulta en la renuncia al idealismo y al entusiasmo, lo que no es correcto. Debes estar dispuesto incluso a estar solo, si tienes razón.
¿Qué pasa si otros no están contigo? Incluso si estás solo, teniendo razón, debes mantenerte de esta manera, sin equivocarte por el hecho de unirte a muchos. Ahí es donde te separas. Piensa como Jesús, y respeta los principios que Swami enseña. Obviamente, tarde o temprano verás la diferencia, incluso en tu entorno, incluso en las personas que te rodean.

Question: Swami, I have a question about unity in diversity and the oneness of God. We try to see the oneness of God in everything, yet it always seems like duality wins, whether among family members, relatives, neighbors, at work or with our leaders. We sometimes feel like duality overpowers the oneness of God. Though we try to see God in everything and practice unity in diversity, there is always a feeling that duality wins. Could You please help us resolve this predicament?
Swami: The nature of the world is duality. It is natural for water to flow down a slope. To pump water upwards against a slope is difficult. Therefore, to experience diversity, duality or differences, is very natural for one with worldly vision and focus. Everyone heads that way, as that is the easiest thing to do and the easiest way to drift. However, one who wants to swim against that tide towards unity must work harder, taking a stand against the general principles by the vision that you develop as to worldly desires, selfishness, individualities and ego, which force you to observe the differences.
What should happen is that you should hold onto the principles for which you have stood, not giving in to the lower ideas of division, differences and dualities. It is up to you to experience, understand and proceed with these feelings that Swami has spoken about. If you hold on to the truth and dharma, knowing for sure that dharma will protect you, so that you are not harmed, it will see to it that the right thing is done, even if it happens gradually or eventually. Holding on to dharma is very important. If you believe in unity, if you believe in togetherness, then hold on to those feelings and do not give into narrow‐minded, selfish differences that others may preach.
Truly, if you are strong in your conviction, things will change for you. Do not give in too easily to other people’s ways of thinking or pressure. That is why you must stand for your principles and values. Tigrett was saying the same thing. Some start with great idealism but eventually give-in because of peer pressure to fit in, resulting in giving up of idealism and enthusiasm, which is not correct. You must be willing to even stand alone if you are right.
What if others are not with you? Even if you stand alone, being right, you must stay in this way, not turning wrong for the sake of joining the many. That is where you stand apart. Think like Jesus and stick to the principles that Swami teaches. Obviously, sooner or later, you will see the difference – even in your surroundings, even in the people around you.
