En un satsang que tuvo lugar en la presencia divina en Londres, Reino Unido, el 4 de abril de 2016; cuando se le pidió consejo sobre la vida personal, esto es lo que dijo Swami:
Pregunta: ¿Qué nos aconseja hacer en nuestra vida personal, cuando algunos de nosotros están en el umbral de la vida familiar.
Swami: Solo piensa que eres un sirviente del Señor. La servidumbre es una gran actitud. Piensa que eres un sirviente del Señor, y todo lo que estás haciendo, con tu carrera, tu vida profesional, tu familia y tu gente a tu alrededor: todo no es más que un regalo del Señor; tu eres solo un fideicomisario y debes hacer tu mejor esfuerzo para devolvérselo a Él, después de haber hecho un buen trabajo.
Esta actitud es importante. La actitud lo es todo. La forma en que piensas, para que te conviertas. Si crees que eres el dueño, pasarás por la depresión, pasarás por la emoción, pasarás de arriba a abajo y siempre estarás inquieto.
Debes pensar, 'Todo le pertenece a Dios. Él me ha dado una familia que cuidar, la familia le pertenece. Yo también le pertenezco. Él me ha dado trabajo por hacer, el trabajo es también Suyo. No soy más que un sirviente. Todas mis responsabilidades son nada más que sus ordenes.
Si llevas las cosas con la actitud de servicio, como un servidor, entonces tu no tendrá ningún problema.
Deja que el maestro se preocupe por tu riqueza y propiedad.
El sirviente no es más que un cuidador; ¿qué puede hacer al respecto?
Si desarrollas esta actitud a esta edad, te ahorrarás todo el dolor en los tiempos por venir.

In a satsang held in the divine presence in London, UK, on April 4, 2016; when asked for advice on personal life, here is what Swami said:
Question: What would You advise us to do in our personal lives, as some of us are on the verge of family life.
Swami: Just think that you are a servant of the lord. Servitude is a great attitude. Think that you are a servant of the lord, and everything you are doing, with your career, your professional life, your family and your people around – everything is nothing but a gift from the Lord; you are only a trustee and you must do your best in order to offer it back to Him, having done a good job. This attitude is important. Attitude is everything. The way you think, so you become. If you think you are the owner, then you will go through depression, you will go through excitement, you will go through ups and down and you will be always restless.
You should think, ‘It all belongs to God. He has given me a family to look after, the family belongs to Him. I, too, belong to Him. He has given me work to do, that work is also His. I am only a servant. All my responsibilities are nothing but His commands’.
If you carry things out with the attitude of service, as a servant, then you will not have any trouble. Let the master bother about his wealth and property. The servant is only a caretaker; what can he do about it? If you develop such an attitude at this age, it will save you all sorrow in times to come.
