En un satsang celebrado en la presencia divina en Boston, EE.UU., el 13 de junio de 2017 un devoto le pregunta cómo puede ayudar a sus padres.

Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:

Pregunta: ¿Cómo puedo ayudar a mis padres? Ellos han hecho tanto por mí.

Swami: Verdaderamente, ellos no son los que están haciendo. Yo estoy haciendo todo. Ellos son solo testigos. Aprecia lo que están haciendo. Enorgullécete de ellos, que se han rendido y son instrumentos de Dios. Esta orgulloso de eso, Ellos estarán felices con eso. No esperan nada de ti. Solo quieren que seas feliz y cuides bien a tu familia. Todo lo que quieren es que seas feliz. Se feliz.

¿Cómo puedes ser feliz? La felicidad es unión con Dios. Si estás en contacto con Dios, siempre serás feliz. Se dedicado, se compasivo, se amable y cuide bien a su familia. No necesitan nada de usted ni de nadie. Estoy ahí para ellos. Yo los cuidaré. Se feliz. Ellos no tienen ningún deseo. Desde el principio, nunca tuvieron ningún deseo. Amo a los "devotos sin deseos", anapekshas. Los "devotos del deseo" siempre vienen con una agenda u otra. Imagínese, si su amigo viene a usted todos los días y le pide algo. Algún día esa amistad se romperá, porque siempre están buscando algo de ti. Sin embargo, un amigo que viene solo por tu bien, porque se sienten felices de verte, feliz de estar contigo, porque te quieren tanto sin ninguna expectativa, siempre te gustara estar en compañía de un amigo así.

Los devotos que vienen sin deseos saben muy bien que, sea lo que sea que necesiten, Dios proveerá; no hay necesidad de preguntar. Entonces estoy feliz y ellos también son felices. Lo que se merecen, les doy en consecuencia. Amo a amigos así. No tienes que abrir la boca y ofender el amor de Swami. Él te dará lo que necesitas, cuando lo necesites. Todo lo que necesites vendrá a ti.

And here is what Swami said:

Question: How can I help my parents? They have done so much for me.

Swami: Truly, they are not the ones doing anything. I am doing everything. They are only witnesses. Appreciate what they are doing. Be proud of them, that they have surrendered and are instruments of God. Be proud of that. They will be happy with that. They do not expect anything from you. They just want you to be happy and look after your family well. That is all they want to be happy. You be happy.

How can you be happy? Happiness is union with God. If you are in touch with God, you will always be happy. Be devoted, be compassionate, be kind and raise your family well. They do not need anything from you or anyone. I am there for them. I will look after them. You be happy. They do not have any desires. From the very beginning, they never had any desires. I love ‘desireless devotees’, anapekshas. ‘Desire devotees’ always come with some agenda or the other. Imagine, if your friend comes to you every day and asks you for something. Some day that friendship is going to break, because they are always looking to get something from you. However, a friend who comes only for your sake, because they feel happy seeing you, happy being with you, because they love you so much without any expectation, you will always love to be in the company of such a friend.

Devotees who come with no desires know very well that, whatever they need, God will provide; there is no need to ask. Then I am happy, and they are also happy. What they deserve, I give them accordingly. I love friends like that. You do not have to open our mouth and insult Swami’s love. He will give you what you need, when you need it. Whatever you require will come to you.
