Para el que se ha rendido, que sabe que no es el hacedor y se ha elevado, estas reglas no se aplicarán.
En un satsang celebrado en la presencia divina en Kuala Lumpur, Malasia, el 11 de agosto de 2017 un devoto le pregunta si nuestra vida está predeterminado y cómo un astrólogo puede predecir nuestro viaje.
Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:
Pregunta: Swami, ¿nuestra vida está preordenada y predestinada al 100%, o depende un cierto porcentaje de nuestros esfuerzos y de nuestros padres.? Además, al mirar la carta natal de uno, ¿es un astrólogo capaz de predecir algunas partes de nuestro viaje?
Swami: Naces con un collar, con todo lo que has hecho en el pasado, lo traes contigo, aunque no lo hayas visto. Tus vasanas pasados, tus instintos, tus gustos, tus antipatías y todo lo que hayas acumulado, influirán en la forma en que nacerás.
Una persona se convierte en músico por nacimiento. ¿Cómo se explica que uno se convierta en músico sin entrenamiento? No puedes. ¿De dónde viene? Por lo tanto, los astrólogos pueden predecirlo en función de lo que ha producido, pero eso no significa que no pueda cambiar. Cuando consultes a un astrólogo, le dirá que por gracia divina, por el propio esfuerzo, muchas cosas pueden cambiarse. Lo que haces hoy con tu vida, basado en el tipo de compañía al que te unes, basado en el tipo de cosas que aprendes y haces, se verá afectada en gran manera.
En última instancia, los astrólogos pueden decir que la fecha de la muerte es segura. También digo que la fecha de la muerte es segura a menos que haya una intervención divina, que la cambie por una buena razón. Los astrólogos solo pueden definir este período, pero la forma en que vivirás este período está en tus manos. Está tanto en tus manos, como en tu destino. Si eliges correctamente, seguramente podrás vivir el mismo período de tiempo que se te ha dado, de una mejor manera.
Por lo tanto, no hay una regla rígida, que deba ser así. También puede ser diferente, basado en la gracia de Dios, el tipo de buenas compañías que mantengas y las cosas que aprendas. En su nivel, comprenderlo así, es la mejor manera.
Sin embargo, alguien que se ha rendido por completo a Dios, que no tiene ningún sentido de ser el hacedor, se eleva por encima de las leyes del mundo físico y su vida es diferente. Para el que se ha rendido, se ha dado cuenta y se ha elevado por encima, estas reglas no se aplicarán. Para aquellos que aún no están allí, es mejor entenderlo de esta manera. Sí.., hay ciertas cosas predeterminadas debido a lo que has hecho en el pasado y cómo las haz hecho, pero la forma en que lideres tu vida en este período depende en gran medida de las elecciones que hagas, el tipo de compañía que busques y cómo has utilizado las oportunidades que Dios te da, a cada paso de tu vida.

In a satsang held in the divine presence in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 11 August 2017; a devotee asks if our life is preordained and how an astrologer can predict our journey.
And here is what Swami said:
Question: Swami, is our life 100% preordained and pre‐destined, or is a certain percentage left to our efforts and our parents? Also, by looking at one’s birth chart, is an astrologer capable of predicting some parts of our journey?
Swami: You are born wearing a necklace of all that you have done in the past, brought along with you, though unseen. Your past vasanas, your instincts, likes, dislikes and whatever you have accumulated will influence the way your birth will be.
One person becomes a musician by birth. How do you explain that one becomes a musician, without training? You cannot. Where is it coming from? Thus, astrologers can predict based on what you have brought forth – but, that does not mean that it cannot change. When you consult an astrologer, they will tell you that by divine grace, by one’s own effort, many things can be changed. What you do with your life today, based on the kind of company you join, based on the kind of things you learn and do, it will be affected in a great way.
Ultimately, astrologers may say that the date of death is certain. I also say that the date of death is certain unless there is divine intervention, which changes it for a good reason. Astrologers can only define this period, but how you will live this period is very much in your hands. It is as much in your hands, as it is in your destiny. If you choose correctly, you will surely be able to live the same period of time that has been given to you, in a better way.
Therefore, there is no hard and fast rule that it must be this way. It can be different too, based on God’s grace, the kind of good company you keep, and the things that you learn. At your level, understanding it like this is the best way.
However, one who has completely surrendered to God, who has no sense of doer‐ship, rises above the laws of the physical world and his life is different. For the one who has surrendered, has realized and risen above, these rules will not apply. For those who are not yet there, it is better to understand this way. Yes, there are certain things fixed because of what you have done in the past and have brought forward, but how you lead your life in this period largely depends on the choices that you make, the kind of company you keep and how you have used the opportunities that God gives you at every turn of your life.
