En un satsang celebrado en la presencia divina en Singapur, 

o n 03 de febrero 2017; un devoto solicita orientación sobre cómo acercarse a la juventud, y hacer que se involucren en actividades de servicio. 

Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:

Pregunta: Swami, ¿cómo nos acercamos a los jóvenes y realizamos actividades con ellos? Los jóvenes pueden estar preocupados o dudar si venimos desde una perspectiva religiosa o espiritual. ¿Cómo podemos permanecer seculares al tiempo que los hacemos conscientes de las actividades sociales que estamos llevando a cabo?

Swami: Los valores humanos son seculares. Los valores humanos se aplican a todos los seres, al igual que el oxígeno, la luz solar o el agua. Usted respira oxígeno, no otro gas. Los valores son universales; no se aplican a una religión o filosofía en particular. Puede pertenecer a diferentes escuelas, pero está estudiando el mismo tema. Vaya con la perspectiva de valores humanos básicos de amor, servicio, compasión y bondad.

Cada universidad tiene una 'Semana de voluntariado' o 'Mes voluntario'. Aproveche esta oportunidad para conectarse con jóvenes que puedan estar interesados en realizar actividades de voluntariado, como servir a personas mayores, trabajar con niños o realizar campamentos médicos.

on 3 February, 2017; a devotee seeks guidance on how to approach youth, and get them involved in service activities.

And here is what Swami said:

Question: Swami, how do we approach youth and conduct activities with them? The youth may be concerned or hesitant if we come from a religious or spiritual perspective. How can we remain secular while making them aware of the social activities we are conducting?

Swami: Human values are secular. Human values apply to all beings, the same as oxygen, sunlight or water. You breathe oxygen, not any other gas. Values are universal; they do not apply to a particular religion or philosophy. You may belong to different schools, but you are studying the same subject. Go with the basic human values perspective of love, service, compassion and kindness.

Every university has a ‘Volunteer Week’ or ‘Volunteer Month. Use this opportunity to connect with youth who may be interested in pursuing volunteer activities, such as serving the elderly, working with children or conducting medical camps.
