Se pueden llegar de varias maneras: a través de otras personas, a través de las Escrituras, a través de maestros, a través de sus ancianos, a veces a través de sus propios buenos amigos, y a veces a través de su propia conciencia, que le dice lo que está bien y lo que está mal. A menos que preste atención a todo, usted no va a aprender nada.

Ahora, en lo que se refiere al karma, por qué estás sufriendo en este nacimiento y por qué no terminas todo mientras estás en el mundo, si no has estudiado durante todo el año, excepto en la última semana, no aprobará el examen.Tendría que tomar otro año, para estudiar más, y aprobar el examen. Tus karmas tienen varios tipos de consecuencias también. Siempre es una prueba.

Por el contrario, si consume comida en este momento, solo después de un tiempo se digiere. Entonces te sentirás satisfecho. Solo lleva un poco de tiempo. También hay karmas que son como plantar una semilla: si siembras la semilla hoy, eventualmente crece un árbol, pero no de inmediato. Del mismo modo, todos los tipos de karmas de las acciones que realice, darán lugar a reacciones en diferentes momentos del tiempo. Lo que sí puedo decir es que si tienes devoción por Dios y una tremenda fe en Dios, Èl puede ayudarte a cruzar este ciclo de karma. El amor a Dios, la devoción a Dios y el desinterés son como los zapatos. Todavía deberás caminar por el mismo camino lleno de espinas, piedras y ramitas, lleno de todo tipo de dificultades; sin embargo, al tener fe en Dios y amor por Él, adquieres gracia, que es como usar zapatos. Cuando usas zapatos, incluso si caminas por el mismo camino, no sentirás dolor, sufrimiento o tristeza. Ese es el secreto de cómo, sin romper la regla del karma, puedes atravesarlo todo sin sufrir.

Por lo tanto, desarrolla devoción y fe, y gana la gracia de Dios con tus buenas obras, ahora, para que puedas pasar por todo lo que sea necesario, ser feliz y no sufrir. La forma más fácil a través del karma es realizar acciones desinteresadas, que pueden no dar lugar a ninguna reacción para ti.

Por ejemplo, si cocina comida y la come, es usted quien la va a experimentar. Si cocina comida y su vecino la come, su vecino experimentará la comida. Del mismo modo, sean cuales fueren las acciones que realice, ofrecelas desinteresadamente por el amor a Dios y diga: "Dios, haga lo que haga, en la medida de mis capacidades, lo he hecho por Ti". Por favor, acéptalo. "Entonces, las reacciones serán transferidas a Dios. Dios entonces manejará las reacciones o consecuencias que resulten. Entonces, no tendrá que preocuparse.

'Krishnarpanamastu' es un mantra corto que, cuando se lo dice desde el fondo de tu corazón, es como decir: "Oh Señor, te ofrezco esta acción. Por favor, acéptala. "Entonces no tienes que preocuparte por las reacciones, ya que Él se encargará de todo por ti.

¿Cómo cepillarse los dientes? Cepillalos pensando, 'Dios me ha dado dientes que brillan como perlas, así cuando sonrío a los demás, se sentirán felices y no tristes. De esta manera, estoy sirviendo a Dios. 

Cuando tomo un baño, mi cuerpo está pulcro y limpio, fragante y fresco, así que también le ofrezco esto a Dios. Si no me baño, puedo desarrollar gérmenes y provocar infecciones; entonces, ¿cómo estaría ayudando a la sociedad? "Del mismo modo, las pequeñas cosas, como mantener la ropa limpia, son también actos de adoración a Dios.

Que quieras mantener tu ropa limpia, y agradar a los demás qué te miran, se convierte en un acto de adoración.

¿Quién quiere mirar a una persona que está usando la ropa hecha jirones, sucios y en mal estado? 

Del mismo modo, si usted piensa que todo lo que está haciendo es ayudar a los demás y complacer a los demás, y que usted ofrece a Dios, todo se puede convertir en culto. Todo el trabajo se convertirá en culto. Pienso, 'Puedo comer de modo que tenga fuerza y ​​que mi cuerpo se alimente. Con este cuerpo, puedo ayudar a los demás. In a satsang held in the divine presence at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 11 August, 2017; a devotee requests Swami to change the laws of Karma.

And here is what Swami said:

Question: Swami, with all due respect, I worship Your lotus feet and ask this question. Truthfully, I should not ask this question, because you are the Lord and I am the refugee. This is what I want: Since you are Creator of the world, please change the Law of Karma. (Laughter) A lot of people are really suffering as a result of past karmas incurred in previous births. We cannot manage, Swami.

You know about it very well. Please forgive us Swami, for all the past life karmas. You can change the Law of Karma, so these souls will not have to experience pain in this world. Then people will love everyone and serve everyone, without fighting. Swami, please help us.

Swami: When God created the Universe, unfortunately, you were not there to advise Him. (Laughter and applause)

Imagine a school student goes to his teacher and says, “Teacher, please forgive me. I have not studied anything the whole year. Although you told me several times, I have not prepared for the exams, though I knew they were going to come. Neither have I written anything on the exam paper, even though I am supposed to. Can you please pass me anyway, so that I can move onto the next class?” Your question is equivalent to this example.

You do not put in any effort, yet you expect the teacher to suddenly change the rules of the school and declare that anybody who comes and says, “Pass me,” should pass. Then there would not be any engineers, doctors or anybody else helping anyone in this world, because no one would be educated. They would only be holding worthless pieces of papers showing degrees that were of no consequences, nor of any use.

It is the same thing on the path of spirituality. God is like a teacher, who comes to teach the correct way of living and conducting oneself. You must pay heed to His words. He may speak in several ways: through other people, through scriptures, through masters, through your elders, sometimes through your own good friends, and sometimes through your own conscience, which tells you what is right and what is wrong. Unless you pay attention to it all, you will not learn anything.

Now, as far as karma is concerned, as to why are you suffering in this birth and why you do not finish all of it whilst in the world, if you have not done any studying all year long, except for the final week, you will not pass the exam. You would need to take another year to study further to pass the exam. Your karmas have various types of consequences as well. It is always a test.

If you hit a desk, your hands will immediately hurt. If you hit the wall, your hands also hurt. You immediately experience the reaction of your action. 

In contrast, if you consume food at this moment, only after a while will it get digested. Then you will feel satisfied. It just takes a little time. There are also karmas which are like planting a seed: if you sow the seed today, eventually a tree grows, but not immediately. Likewise, all kinds of karmas from the actions you perform will result in reactions at different points of time. Some of them you may experience immediately, and some of them might be experienced over a period of time, the same as the type of actions that created them. Therefore, it is very difficult to interfere with this law, as there would be tremendous confusion in the Universe.

As I have said, certain laws must govern the public, otherwise there would be chaos, accidents, and disharmony in society. So, your application for cancelling the Law of Karma hereby stands rejected! (Laughter)

What I can tell you is, if you have devotion to God and tremendous faith in God, He can help you cross over this cycle of karma. Love for God, devotion to God and selflessness are like shoes. You must still walk on the same road full of thorns, stones and twigs, filled with all kinds of difficulties – however, by having faith in God and love for Him, you acquire grace, which is like wearing shoes. When you wear shoes, even if you walk on the same road, you will not feel the pain, suffering or sorrow. That is the secret of how, without breaking the rule of karma, you can go through it all without suffering.

Therefore, develop devotion and faith and earn the grace of God by your good deeds now, so that you can go through whatever is necessary, being happy and not suffering. The easiest way through karma is to perform selfless actions, which may not result in any reactions for yourself.

For example, if you cook food and eat it, it is you who is going to experience it. If you cook food and your neighbour eats it, your neighbour will experience the food. Likewise, whatever actions you do, perform them selflessly for the love of God and say, “God, whatever I do, to the best of my abilities, I have done for You. Please accept it.” Then, the reactions will be transferred to God. God will then handle whatever reactions or consequences that result. Additionally, you will not need to worry.

‘Krishnarpanamastu’ is a short mantra that, when spoken from the bottom of your heart is like saying, “Oh Lord, I offer this action to You. Please take care of it.” Then you do not have to worry about the reactions, as He will take care of everything for you.

Some young people may be doubting that they could offer everything to God. When they are taking a bath, brushing their teeth or studying, that also produces a reaction. ‘If I am studying, how can I offer my studies to God?’ The truth is, you can offer everything to God.

How do you brush your teeth? Brush thinking, ‘God has given me teeth that shine like pearls, so when I smile at others, they feel happy and not sad. In this way, I am serving God. When I have a bath, my body is neat and clean, fragrant and fresh, so I also offer this to God. If I did not bathe, I may develop germs, leading to infections; then how would I be helping society?’ Likewise, little things, such as keeping your clothes clean, are also acts of worship to God.

That you want to keep your clothes clean, pleasing others who look at you, becomes an act of worship.

Who wants to look at a person who is wearing tattered, dirty and shabby clothes? Likewise, if you start thinking that everything you are doing is to help others and please others, and you offer that to God, everything can be turned into worship. All work will become worship. Think, ‘I eat so that I have strength and that my body is nourished. With this body, I can help others. I study to have knowledge, which develops into skills. Through these skills, I can help others.’ By being a doctor, you can help patients; by being an engineer, you can help build ashrams or orphanages or home for the aged, or any infrastructure, for the benefit of society.

Think, ‘If I am a teacher, I can help children know about good things, such as good values, which will help them develop into good individuals, like a good husband, a good wife, or a good child.’ Think about everything in this way. Then, whilst dealing with the Law of Karma, it will not affect you, because you have gone above it. This is the way through it, without breaking the Law of Karma, allowing you to survive in the world whilst living happily. How can you go above this worldly law? By becoming selfless, as these laws are built for selfish people. The moment you become selfless, you are released from the game. This game is no more yours; there is no need to play it further, as the Lord will look after everything. That is the easiest way to accept of the laws. So live selflessly.
