En un satsang que tuvo lugar en la presencia divina en Padova, Italia, el 24 de abril de 2017, un devoto busca la orientación en el desarrollo de la visión interior.

Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:

Pregunta: Swami, nos estás pidiendo que desarrollemos la visión interna. Hice esfuerzos, pero no puedo alcanzar la meta. Continuamente falla mi conciencia. Sin embargo, parece que no se debe únicamente a mis flaquezas, sino que se debe a Mahamaya Shakti (el poder ilusorio de Dios), que continuamente proyecta sobre mí lo que es el no-Ser. ¿Cómo puedo encontrar la solución a esto, Swami?

Swami: Él está hablando de mahamaya creada por Dios, por lo que está echando la culpa a Dios. Por supuesto, él tiene razón, en cierto modo, porque todo lo valioso está siempre oculto, y solo con algún esfuerzo se puede obtener. ¿Encuentras piedras preciosas en el camino? Están enterrados en las minas y deben ser extraídas, removidas y pulidas con gran dificultad. La visión divina es similar. Maya (ilusión) es siempre el desafío antes de que puedas tener esta visión interna, pero, déjame decirte, maya no ha sido creada por Dios. Así como una sombra se forma automáticamente donde hay un objeto, maya aparece automáticamente dónde está la Divinidad. Es la naturaleza misma de la Creación. Como una sombra sigue a un objeto, maya sigue la verdad; ambos van juntos.

¿Cómo se puede superar esta maya y desarrollar la visión interna? Hay dos maneras. Lo ilustraré con una historia.

Una vez, había un hombre rico que tenía un amigo. Cuando el amigo vino a conocer al hombre rico, vio que un perro grande estaba en la puerta y no le dejaba entrar. ¿Qué podría hacer este hombre para encontrarse con su amigo? O bien, tendría que hacer amistad con el perro, o tendría que llorar a su amigo, “Oh amigo.! Estoy a su puerta, pero este perro es un obstáculo. Por favor tome su perro y alèjalo para que pueda conocerte.”Sin embargo, si nos fijamos en el perro y retrocedemos, nunca se encontrará con su amigo.

Por lo tanto, si no puedes hacerte amigo de maya y superarlo, debes gritar: "¡Oh Señor! No puedo lidiar con esta ilusión. Por favor, ven, quita esta ilusión y llévame adentro. "Cuando hay un anhelo muy profundo y sincero de tener la visión divina, el Señor descenderá apartar a maya y llevarme dentro. Como un hombre que se ahoga y anhela el aliento, uno debe anhelar esta visión divina. Si ese tipo de anhelo fuerte está ahí, definitivamente puede suceder.

Todo en este mundo requiere esfuerzo. Incluso darse cuenta de sí mismo necesita esfuerzo. Si no has logrado nada hasta ahora, significa que los esfuerzos no han sido suficientes. Regresa con mayor vigor, no se dé por vencido a menos que lo haya experimentado. Por el dolor y la agonía de no poder experimentar la Divinidad, clama al Señor para que te ayude, y sigue llorando y gritando hasta que el Señor venga y te escuche, para que Él pueda llevarte dentro. Grita un poco más fuerte para que pueda escucharte, con el dolor de la separación, entonces definitivamente será posible. Yo mismo vendré, tomaré tu mano y te traeré. Anhela como un moribundo anhela otro soplo de vida.

Question: Swami, You are asking us to develop the inner vision. I put in efforts, but I am unable to reach the goal. I continuously fail my conscience. However, it seems that it is not only because of my frailties, but it is due to Mahamaya Shakti (the illusory power of God), which continuously projects upon me what is the non-Self. How can I find the solution to this, Swami?

Swami: He is talking about mahamaya created by God, so he is putting the blame back on God. Of course, he is right, in a way, for every valuable thing is always hidden, and only with some effort can it be obtained. Do you find gemstones lying on the road? They are buried deep in mines and have to be extracted, removed and polished with great difficulty. Divine vision is similar. May (illusion) is always a challenge before you can have this vision within – but, let Me tell you, maya has not been created by God. Just as a shadow automatically forms where there is an object, maya automatically appears where there is this Divinity. It is the very nature of Creation. Like a shadow follows an object, maya follows the truth; both go together.

How can you overcome this maya and develop the inner vision? There are two ways. I will illustrate with a story.

Once, there was a rich man who had a friend. When the friend came to meet the rich man, he saw that a big dog was at the gate and it would not let him in. What could this fellow do to meet his friend? Either he would have to make friendship with the dog or, he would have to cry out to his friend, “O friend! I am at your gate, but this dog is an obstacle. Please take your dog away so that I can meet you.” However, if you look at the dog and turn back, you will never meet your friend.

Thus, if you cannot make friends with maya and overcome it, you must shout out, “O Lord! I cannot deal with this illusion. Please come, take away this illusion and take me inside.” When there is very deep, sincere yearning to have the divine vision, the Lord will descend to take the maya away and bring you in. Like a drowning man who craves for breath, one must crave for this divine vision. If that kind of strong yearning is there, it can definitely happen.

Everything in this world requires effort. Even to realize oneself needs effort. If you have not achieved anything so far, it means the efforts have not been enough. Go back with greater vigor, so that you will not give up unless you have experienced. Out of the pain and agony of not being able to experience Divinity, cry out to the Lord to help you – and keep crying and shouting until the Lord comes and listens to you, so that He can take you inside. Shout a little louder so that I can hear, with the pain of separation, then it will definitely be possible. I Myself will come, take your hand and bring you in. Crave like a dying man craves for another breath of life.
