En un satsang que tuvo lugar en la presencia divina en el Kuala Lumpur, Malasia, el 31 de enero de 2017, un devoto busco la guía de Swami para la implementación de buenas ideas, en el servicio a la comunidad.

Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:

Pregunta: Swami, nosotros los jóvenes a veces tenemos grandes ideas para contribuir a la comunidad, pero a menudo no la concretamos porque tenemos miedo de lo que dirán los mayores. Ayúdanos, Swami.

Swami: Vea, los ancianos que opinan de los jóvenes, no se están involucrando, los jóvenes que opinan de los ancianos, no están ayudando!

 Los demás puedan pensar cualquier cosa, usted debe decidir hacer lo que dice su corazón. Si tienes fe en la voz de tu corazón, si alguien te elogia o te culpa, te apoya o te desanima, no te preocupes. Debes marchar hacia adelante. Sobre todo, con un cada pensamiento desinteresado, la mayor fortaleza que tienes es que Dios mismo cuidará de lo que se requiera.

Al mismo tiempo, cuando estás trabajando en un grupo donde hay ancianos, jóvenes y niños, es tu deber informar a todos y buscar las bendiciones y la experiencia de los ancianos, para que puedan ayudarte a hacer lo que quieres hacer mejor. Ellos ya han caminado por este camino, y saben dónde están los giros, dónde están las curvas, dónde están los baches, y pueden guiarte para que no tengas que sufrir.

También debe animar a los más jóvenes a acercarse a usted. El Seva no debe ser hecho por grupos específicos o fragmentados; Todos, sin distinción, deberían involucrarse. Busquen las bendiciones y la experiencia de los ancianos, y acepten su ayuda, la energía y el entusiasmo de los más jóvenes, y con eso todos juntos, deben seguir adelante. No es necesario que solo los jóvenes hagan todo, pero los jóvenes deben tomar la iniciativa, porque tienen cuerpo fuerte, inteligencia aguda y corazón puro. Son los mejores para conducir, como un motor que tira de un tren. Sin embargo, hay un papel para los ancianos y es guiarlos, animarlos y darles el consejo correcto.

Usted tiene que desarrollar estas buenas relaciones con todos sus ancianos. A muchos jóvenes no les gusta este camino. Ellos no quieren ningún ancianos que vengan aquí, no quieren que se les diga nada, lo que quieren es hacer lo que quieran. Es entonces cuando comienza el problema. Todos deben estar involucrados.

And here is what Swami said:

Question: Swami, we the youths sometimes have great ideas to contribute to the community, but often we do not bring them up because we are afraid of what the elders will say. Help us, Swami.

Swami: See, elders are saying youth are not getting involved, whist youth are saying elders are not helping!

Whatever others may think, you must decide to do what your heart says. If you have faith in the voice of your heart, whether somebody praises you or blames you, supports you or discourages you, do not worry. You must march forward. Above all, for every selfless thought, the biggest strength that you have is that God Himself will look after what is required.

At the same time, when you are working in a group where there are elders, youngsters, and children, it is your duty to inform everyone and seek the blessings and experience of the elders so that they can help you do what you want to do better. They have already walked this path, and they know where the twists are, where the turns are, where the bends are, where the potholes are, and they can guide you so that you do not have to suffer.

You should also encourage younger ones to come along with you. Seva is not to be done in compartments and fragments; everybody should come along. Take the blessings and experience of the elders, and take the help, energy and enthusiasm of the younger ones, and with that you should go ahead. It is not necessary that youth alone should do everything, but youth should lead the way, because they have strong body, sharp intellect and pure heart. They are the best to lead, like an engine pulls a train. Nevertheless, there is a role for elders to guide and encourage them and give them the right advice.

You have to develop such good relations with all your elders. Many youths do not like this path. They do not want any elders to come here, they do not want to be told anything, they just want to do what they want to do. That is when the problem starts. You must all be involved.
