En un satsang que tuvo lugar en la presencia divina en Suffolk, Reino Unido, el 2 de abril de 2016. Un devoto preguntó sobre cómo mantenerse unidos.

Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:

Devoto: Swami, algunos de los jóvenes en el Reino Unido han expresado que están un poco desilusionado, porque sienten que hay una especie de falta de unidad. ¿Qué le digo a los jóvenes? ¿Qué puedo decir para disipar los temores que puedan tener sobre la unidad?

Swami: Si sienten que hay una falta de unidad, deben averiguar por qué lo ven de esa manera. ¿Dónde está la cuestión? Ustedes podrían pensar que todo el mundo está unido, pero hay algunos que no piensan de esa manera. Lo que piensas no es suficiente. Lo que otros piensan también es importante, así que deben arreglar las cosas para que los demás  tengan el sentimiento correcto. Puede que tengan que hacer algunos cambios, dentro de si mismos y de la gente, para dar la impresión correcta a la gente de afuera. Esto es muy importante.

Un vaso puede estar limpio por dentro, pero si no está limpio por fuera, la gente no va a creer que está limpio en el interior, también. En su interior, tienen que estar unidos y puros, pero la apariencia exterior, también es importante. Deben averiguar por qué se sienten así y hacer cambios en consecuencia. La verdad es que es muy fácil para una persona que esta unida dentro, en pensamiento, palabra y acción,  estar unida afuera. Aquellos que no están unidos en su interior, cuyos pensamientos no coinciden con sus palabras, o las palabras no coinciden con sus actos, siempre les resulta difícil trabajar con los demás, en unidad.

In a satsang held in the divine presence at Suffolk, UK, on 2 April, 2016. A devotee asked on how to stay united.

And here is what Swami said:

Devotee: Swami, some of the Youth in the UK have expressed that they are a bit disillusioned, because they feel that there is a sort of lack of unity. What do I say to those young people? What can I say to allay the fears they may have about unity?

Swami: If they feel that there is a lack of unity, you must find out why they see it that way. Where is the question? You might think everybody is united, but there are some who don’t think that way. What you think is not enough. What others think is also important, so you must mend the things that will give the right feeling to others. You might have to make some changes, within yourself and the people around, to give the right impression to the people outside. This is very important. 

A tumbler might be clean inside, but if it is not clean on the outside, people won’t believe that it is clean on the inside, too. Inside, you have to be united and pure, but what you look like from the outside is important, too. You must find out why they feel like this and make changes accordingly. The truth is, it is very easy for a person who is united within, in thought, word and deed, to be united outside. Those who are not united inside, whose thoughts don’t match their words, or words don’t match their deeds, always find it difficult to work with others, in unity.
