Fue una gran noticia cuando las nominaciones a los premios oscar 2013, fueron anunciadas el jueves. Las 11 nominaciones al Oscar a la película de Hollywood del cineasta Mr.Ang Lee de origen chino, han incluido a la India, dado que la Vida de Pi, ofrece una variedad de talento indio, más el hecho de que fue filmada en parte en el sur de la India. La Vida de Pi fue nominada como mejor Película, mejor Dirección, mejor Guión Adaptado, Diseño de Producción, Cinematografía, Mezcla de Sonido, Edición de Sonido, Banda Sonora, Canción Original, Edición y Efectos Visuales.

Una antigua devota de Swami, canto el clásico indio Ramnath, es popularmente conocida como Bombay Jayashree, y comparte su nominación por la canción "Pi Lullaby" ya que escribió la letra en el idioma tamil. Aquí está el enlace de YouTube para esta canción de cuna hermosa en Tamil

Balvikas Alumni, en el equipo nominado al Premio Oscar 2013:
Como los Antiguos Alumnos Balvikas se reunen en Prashanti Nilayam, es una gran noticia y alegría para todos los estudiantes Balvikas, la buena nueva de que una de las obras de un hermano sea nominado al Oscar.
Cuando recibimos un mensaje de felicitación hace dos días de la Vicepresidencia de Fox Entertainment, diciendo: "Tomen un momento para simplemente estar orgullosos de si mismo".
El joven Sai Shraavanam no podía creer la Bendición de Swami, cuando visitó la casa de su padre en Chennai en enero de 2007 durante Ati Rudra Mahayagna, diera sus frutos tan pronto.
Baba entonces había visitado su taller y le dijo: "Vas a llevar la música a todo el mundo".
Sai Shravanam es miembro del equipo que realizo la pista de sonido la "Vida de Pi", que ha sido nominada para un premio en la 85 ceremonia de los Premios Oscar de la Academia Americana de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas.
La bandas de sonido utilizado en 'Life of Pi', que celebra 11 nominaciones a los Oscar, tuvo su origen en los estudios de Chennai donde este joven Balvikas es graduado .
"Después de canción de cuna grabada por Bombay Jayashree en septiembre, Fox estaba contento con mi trabajo y la calidad del sonido que grabamos aquí. Por lo tanto, tuve la oportunidad de grabar mucho más de lo que estaba originalmente acordado", dice Sai, que ha grabado muchos artistas top de la India.
Pero esto era una experiencia nueva para él. Mientras que el compositor Mychael Danna y director Ang Lee se encontraban en Los Ángeles, se comunicaba con ellos, ya que estaban grabando, junto con el músico que estaba en Chennai: "Solíamos usar esta tecnología llamada fuente de conexión que permite tales grabaciones remotas.
Es como una variante muy avanzada de Skype, pero rara vez se utiliza aquí, "dijo. It was a great news indeed when the 2013 oscar award nominees were announced on Thursday. The 11 Oscar nominations for the Chinese origin Hollywood film maker Mr.Ang Lee's Film have put the spotlight on India, given that Life of Pi features a variety of Indian talent, plus the fact that it was partly filmed in South India. Life of Pi was nominated in Best Picture, Best Direction, Adapted Screenplay, Production Design, Cinematography, Sound Mixing, Sound Editing, Original Score, Original Song, Fil Editing and Visual Effects categories.

One of Swami's long time devotee, Indian Classical Singer Jayashree Ramnath popularly known as Bombay Jayashree shares her nomination for the song "Pi's Lullaby" for which she wrote the lyrics in the Tamil Language. Here is the YOUTUBE link for this beautiful lullaby in Tamil

Balvikas Alumni in the nominated team of Oscar awards 2013:
As the Balvikas Alumni meet is on in Prashanthi Nilayam, it is a great news indeed for all the Balvikas students to rejoice the good news of one of their brother's work being nominated for Oscars.
When he recieved a congratulatory message two days ago from the Vice President of Fox entertainment
saying "Take a moment and just be proud of yourself",young Sai Shraavanam could not believe that
Swami's blessing, when He visited his parent's house in Chennai in January 2007 during Ati Rudra
Mahayagna ,would fructify so soon.
Baba had then visited his studio and told him,"You will take Music all over the world".
Sai Shravanam is a member of the "Life of Pi" sound track team that has been nominated for an award in
the 85th Oscar Awards ceremony of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The
soundtracks used in ‘Life of Pi’, now being celebrated for 11 Oscar nominations, had their origins in the
Chennai studio of this young Balvikas graduate.
“After recording Bombay Jayashree's lullaby in September, Fox Music was happy with my work and the
quality of the sound we recorded here. So, I got the opportunity to record far more than what I was
originally roped in for,” says Sai, who has recorded many top artistes in India.
But this was a new experience for him. While the composer Mychael Danna and director Ang Lee were in
Los Angeles, communicating with them as they were recording, Sai , along with the musician, was sitting in
Chennai, “We used this technology called source-connect that enables such remote-recording.
It is like a very advanced variant of Skype, but is rarely used here,” he says.This meant that the sounds
were recorded, just as the director was matching the music to the visuals on his screen in LA. “There is a
small time lag between the moment we press a key here, and the moment when the music is heard in LA and
that required immense precision,” adds Sai.
