El festival de Diwali se celebra con mucho fervor devocional en el estado de Gujarat, estuvo a la cabeza de los festejos el 26 de octubre en la noche en Prashanti Nilayam.
El programa se inició con el presidente de la Organización Sri Sathya Sai de Gurarat, Sri Manohar; G. Trikannad hizo la introducción de la sesión. También presentó una breve reseña de las diversas actividades seva en el estado.
El primer programa fue Ganesha Vandana seguido por un par de danzas folclóricas tradicionales de la Juventud de Gujarat, recordando la época dorada del Señor Krishna durante la Edad Dwapara.

El tema principal del día fue . Rajendra D. Raval, un genio de Ahmedabad en danza de espadas, "Talwar Nrutya" tomó el centro de la escena y atrajo la atención del publico que miraban fascinados, como dando vueltas a sí mismo de forma continua durante más de quince minutos, tejía magia con precisión.
Comenzando con una espada, el artista logra con gracia concentrarse en un solo punto de atención, mientras mueve la espada con facilidad, relajando su puños y en forma totalmente libre. Él siguió su hazaña con espadas gemelas, recibiendo un caluroso aplauso de un publico impresionado.
El primer episodio fue una ilustración de una historia de transformación, de un joven oficial de la Fuerza Real Británica de nombre John Wright.
Bhajans por los devotos Gujarat continuaron durante los últimos quince minutos, antes de que el Mangala Arathi se ofreciera a las 18:30 hrs.
No paraba de dar vueltas que el artista continuó con la magia de tejer, en esta ocasión la creando un pavo real con un sari de algodón de varios colores. Y dos hazañas más siguieron, en el que junto con su movimiento giratorios, creó una paloma seguida de un conejo.

Al final del programa se felicitó a los artistas con piezas de safari y fotografía de grupo fueron tomadas.
Bhajans por la Juventud Gujarat continuaron durante la siguiente media hora de duración. Prasadam fue distribuido y el Mangala Ararthi se ofreció a las 18.00 horas.

El 27 de octubre se realizo la celebración del Año Nuevo Gujarati en Prashanti Nilayam, por los niños Balvikas de la escuela Sri Sathya Sai Surat, promulgando un drama titulado "La Vida en la omnipresencia de Sai".
La presentación fue un intento de retratar algunos de los incidentes reales, como testimonios de Su Presencia Divina!
El primer episodio fue una ilustración de una historia de transformación, de un joven oficial de la Fuerza Real Británica de nombre John Wright.
El siguiente episodio fue la verdadera historia de un muchachito de nombre Ahmed, que fue bendecido con un darshan en un sueño en el hospital de Sri Sathya Sai de Super Especialidades Prasanthigram, donde iba a someterse a una operación en contra de su consentimiento. Su operación fue cancelada por Bhagavan que apareció cerca de su cama, en forma física, mostrando su omnipresencia, basada en la fe de el muchacho.
El Teatro Divino de Prashanti, había sido testigo de más de un programa cultural, algunos de ellos bastante atípico, en los últimos años en la presencia física de Bhagavan.

El programa final de la jornada fue "Beda Dance 'por el renombrado artista de Sri Chirag Mahida de Baroda. El artista, con sus proezas de equilibrio brillante cautivó a la audiencia por los próximos quince minutos, que poco a poco amplio el punto de referencia de sus hazañas impresionantes de equilibrio en el ejercicio de la danza, antes de un pico como broche de oro, en el cual mantuvo más de diez macetas redondas dispuestos uno encima de la otra.

Anteriormente, el programa se inició a las 17:00 hs, después de una media hora de Canto Vedico , con el Presidente del Estado de la Organización Sri Sathya Sai Seva , Sri Manohar G. Trikannad, que saludo a la audiencia por el Año Nuevo. El Presidente del Estado también narró un episodio con un incidente en el que Bhagavan mostró su mano invisible para ayudar a los devotos, que descansaban en la fe. El discurso del presidente fue seguido por el canto del Maha Ganesh Pancharatna Strotram, por las chicas del estado, seguido por un programa de baile corto, "Gananayakaya Ganadaivataya ..." por las niñas Balvikas.

El bhajan final fue "Rama Rama Kodanda ..." en la voz meliflua de Bhagaván, un especial de los jueves.

The festival of Diwali was celebrated with much devotional fervour with the state of Gujarat takes the lead in the proceedings on 26th Oct evening in Prasanthi Nilayam.
The programme commenced with State President of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Sri Manohar G. Trikannad introducing the session. He also presented a brief profile of various seva activities in the state.
The first programme was h Ganesha Vandana followed by a couple of traditional Folk Dances by the Youth of Gujarat reminiscing the golden days of Lord Krishna during Dwapara Age.

The lead item for the day was to follow. Rajendra D. Raval, an Ahmedabad based whiz in Sword Dance, 'Talwar Nrutya' took the centre-stage drawing attention of the riveting eyes, whirling himself continuously for the next more than fifteen minutes, weaving magic with precision. Beginning with a sword, the accomplished artist gracefully whirled with one-pointed attention, while moving the sword at ease, relaxing his grips and leaving the same quite free. He followed his feat with twin swords, stunning the audience, receiving rapturous applause. Non-stop he was whirling that the artist continued with weaving magic, this time creating a peacock from multi-coloured cotton sari. Two more feats followed wherein, in tandem with his whirling movement, he created a pigeon followed by a rabbit.

At the end of the programme artistes were felicitated with safari pieces and group photograph was taken. Bhajans by Gujarat Youth continued for the next half-an-hour. Prasadam was distributed and Mangala Ararthi was offered at 1800 hrs.

Celebrating Gujarati New Year Balvikas Children from Sri Sathya Sai School, Surat enacted a drama entitled "Living in Sai's Omnipresence" on 27th Oct evening in Prasanthi Nilayam. The presentation was an attempt to portray some of the true incidents, as testimonies, to His Divine Presence!
The first episode was an illustration of a story of transformation of a young British Royal Force officer by name John Wright. Right who came over to Prasanthi Nilayam at the instance of a stranger, whom he met at the airport, finally ended up waiting for a week to get Divine permission to leave the precincts, again at the instance of an overseas devotee, who advised him to do so. Jeopardising his career for not reporting to duty in time, upon his return an apprehensive John was received with a pleasant surprise of a double promotion. Omnipresent, all loving Bhagawan had been present 'on duty' doing exceptional flying in the guise of John, while he was away from Prasanthi, earning a dedicated faithful John true reward for his transformation, a double promotion and transformation of his heart!

The next episode was the true story of a little lad by name Ahmed who was blessed with a dream physical darshan in the Sri Sathya Sai Super Speciality Hospital, Prasanthigram, where he was to undergo an operation against his consent. His operation was cancelled by Bhagawan Who appeared near his bed, in physical, showing His omnipresence, reposing the little lad's faith in Him. Audience was taken to nostalgic days of Divine physical darshan when the drama had Bhagawan coming out into Sai Kulwant Hall granting coveted darshan.
Prasanthi's Divine Theatre had witnessed many a cultural programme, some quite atypical, over the years in Bhagawan's physical presence. The final programme for the day was 'Beda Dance' by renowned artist Sri Chirag Mahida from Baroda. The artist, with his scintillating balancing feats enthralled the audience for the next fifteen minutes gradually scaling the benchmark of his breathtaking feats of balancing while engaged in dancing, before peaking into grand finale balancing more than ten round pots arranged one on top of the other.

Earlier the programme commenced at 1700 hrs. after regular half-an-hour Veda chanting with State President of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization, Sri Manohar G. Trikannad wishing the audience with New Year Greetings. The State President also narrated a episode featuring an incident wherein Bhagawan showed His unseen hand helping devotees, who are reposed in faith. The president's speech was followed by chanting of Maha Ganesh Pancharatna Strotram by Sai Youth Girls from the state followed by a short dance programme, "Gananayakaya Ganadaivataya..." by Balvikas Girls.
Bhajans by Gujarat devotees continued for the last fifteen minutes before Mangala Arathi was offered at 1830 hrs. The final bhajan was "Rama Kodanda Rama..." in Bhagawan's mellifluous voice, a Thursday Special. All the participating children and the guest artist were felicitated and prasadam was distributed to the entire assembly.
