THE STORY BEHIND THIS PHOTO –
(THE KANAYAZHI RING) MIRACLES IN KODAIKANAL - 2
Bhagavan Baba is always in joyful mood, whenever He visits Kodaikanal. In the midst of those selected band of students who accompany Him, Bhagavan narrates several interesting stories, episodes and surprise every one with Divine miracle of creations. In my last posting I had narrated the creation of Mangala Suthra (Thirumangalyam) offered by Lord Sri Rama to Mother Sita Devi. I was fortunate to be present in the central hall in Sai Sruthi.
As mentioned in my earlier posting, it was Sri Rama Navami day. Swami touched the incident of Sri Hanuman locating Mother Sita Devi in Ashoka vana in Sri Lanka. Lord Rama had given a special ring, called “KANAYAAZHI”, to Hanuman instructing him to give it to Mother Sita Devi as and when he meets her. At first, Mother Sita Devi did not believe Hanuman, thinking He was also a manifestation of Ravana in disguise. When Hanuman showed this ring to the Mother, conveying that the Lord had sent it through him, as a proof of identity, Mother Sita Devi believed him.
At this point, smilingly Bhagavan materialized a large ring. It was sapphire ring. He showed this to every one and told that this was the ring presented to Lord Rama by Emperor Janaka.
The ring was almost the size of the wrist. The students exclaimed , “ Swami, how come a ring is so big?” Swami replied again, “Lord Rama was an Aajanubhahu, meaning, one of the very tall stature.
After going for a full round showing the ring to every one, Swami clasped His hands together, and opened again. And the Ring had vanished. Swami declared that the Ring had gone to Sai Stores.”
