! Un devoto centenario. Un viejo devoto de Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, está siendo bendecido por Bhagavan.
La ocasión fue, un evento especial organizado por la Divinidad en el cual se involucro personalmente en el mismo, para celebrar el cumpleaños número 100 de Sri. Gopal Rao.

Los Vedas ensalzan la oportunidad, "Sathamaanam Bhavathi, Sathaaya purusha ... ... .... Satham. Esta bendición invoca los deseos del receptor, por vivir al 100% la vida útil de cien años.
Sí..., Sri. Gopala Rao vivió unos fructíferos 100 años, y hasta su final, se negó a ir a la casa de sus parientes innumerables. Quería vivir toda su vida en la presencia divina. Y, finalmente, después de haber vivido durante 100 años, fusionarse en SAI.
Pero antes de despedirse de este mundo, Swami decidió felicitar a este anciano.
Voy a compartir un informe de esa ocasión sagrada y noble:
Gopal Rao Viernes, 28 de diciembre 2007 .
Ayer fue el cumpleaños número 100 del Sr. Gopal Rao, ex presidente del Banco de Andhra y un residente del Ashram durante muchas décadas. Bhagavan lo bendijo ayer, y hoy organizó una ceremonia de felicitación.
Swami llegó en la tarde alrededor de las 17:20 hs , y se traslado por el escenario después de una breve interacción con algunos devotos en la veranda.

Sr. Gopal Rao también fue llevado al escenario por su hijo.
El Prof. G. Venkataraman habló durante veinticinco minutos, y luego el Sr. Gopal Rao relato, sentado en su silla de ruedas, durante media hora, acerca de cómo llegó a Bhagavan y cómo Swami le dio instrucciones para hacer seva en la cantina.
Sr. Chakravarthy, secretario de la Central Trust, puso guirnaldas a Sr. Gopal Rao.
Swami lo bendijo e interactuo con él, y se distribuyó prasadam.
El mejor Seva dal:
Después de su retiro como Presidente del Andhra Bank, Sri Gopal Rao se establecio en Prashanti Nilayam. Había sufrido un derrame cerebral y sus manos fueron afectadas, como una desventaja permanente.
Sin embargo, él deseaba participar en algún tipo de Seva en Prashanti Nilayam. Para un hombre que tenía un muy alto calibre académica, Baba ordenó una actividad de seva, muy fructífera. Había un montón de puestos de trabajo para reaslizar en el Trust, las instituciones educativas del hospital, y otros sitios. Pero Swami ordeno a Gopal Rao, ir a la cantina india sur, para servir agua a los que están alimentándose.
Sin embargo, él deseaba participar en algún tipo de Seva en Prashanti Nilayam. Para un hombre que tenía un muy alto calibre académica, Baba ordenó una actividad de seva, muy fructífera. Había un montón de puestos de trabajo para reaslizar en el Trust, las instituciones educativas del hospital, y otros sitios. Pero Swami ordeno a Gopal Rao, ir a la cantina india sur, para servir agua a los que están alimentándose.
Como un hombre ligeramente discapacitado, Gopal Rao tenía dificultades para levantar la mano con la jarra de acero inoxidable, llena de agua, y luego llenar todos y cada uno de los vasos sobre la mesa en el comedor. Sin ningún tipo de queja, tomándolo como un mandato divino, Sri Gopal Rao se involucró intensamente en este seva, durante muchas décadas.
Círculo de estudio:
Cada noche, alrededor de 19:00 hs, otros dos devotos se unían a Sri Gopal Rao, en un círculo de estudio interesante. Además de Sri Gopal Rao, otros devotos de edad, Sri. Srinivasa Raghavan, y Sri. Mariwala, se unieron para leer y discutir las Escrituras como el Bhagavath Gita y también las literaturas de Swami. O tenían largas discusiones sobre diversos temas elegidos para ese día.
Durante más de dos décadas, se realizo este círculo de estudio.

Unos pocos devotos visitantes, como yo, acostumbrábamos unirnos de vez en cuando ha este círculo de estudio. Este ejercicio espiritual continuó hasta que Sri Gopal Rao, fue admitido en el hospital, donde dio su último suspiro, y se fusionó en Bhagavan Baba.

An old time devotee of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, is being blessed by Bhagavan. The occasion was, a special Divine involved event organized by Bhagavan Himself, to celebrate the 100th Birthday of Sri. Gopal Rao. The Vedas extol, “Sathamaanam Bhavathi, Sathaaya purusha……….
Satham, means, one hundred. This blessing invocations wishes the recipient to live 100% worthwhile life for one hundred years. Yes, Sri. Gopala Rao lived a fruitful 100 years, and till his end, he refused to go the homes of his innumerable relatives, and family members. He wished to live his whole life in Divine presence. And ultimately after living for 100 years he merged in SAI. But before he took leave of this world, Swami decided to felicitate this grand old man.

Yesterday was the 100th birthday of Mr. Gopal Rao, former chairman of Andhra Bank and a resident of the Ashram for many decades. Bhagawan Blessed him yesterday, and today arranged for a felicitation ceremony. Swami came in the evening at around 5.20 pm, moving onstage after a brief interaction with some devotees on the verandah. Mr. Gopal Rao was also brought onstage by his son. Prof G. Venkataraman spoke for twenty-five minutes, then Mr. Gopal Rao spoke, seated on his wheelchair, for half an hour, about how he came to Bhagawan and how Swami instructed him to do seva in the canteen. Mr. Chakravarthy, Secretary of the Central Trust, garlanded Mr. Gopal Rao. Swami Blessed him and interacted with him while prasadam was distributed.
The very best Seva dal:
After his retirement as the Chairman of Andhra Bank, Sri Gopal Rao settled in Prashanthi Nilayam. He had suffered a stroke and his hands were pulled up behind the body as a permanent handicap. Yet, he wished to participate in some form of seva in Prashanthi Nilayam. For a man who had a very high caliber of academic stature, Baba ordained a very fruitful seva activity. There were lots of jobs for his taking; in the Trust, Educational Institutions , Hospital and all. But Swami directed Gopal Rao, to proceed to south Indian canteen and serve water for those who are eating food. A slightly handicapped man, Gopal Rao was finding it difficult to lift his hand with the stainless steel jug, full of water and then fill each and every one of the tumblers kept on the dining table. Without any complaint, taking it as a Divine command, Sri Gopal Rao earnestly got involved in this seva, for many decades.
Study circle:
Every night, at about 7.00PM, two other devotees joined Sri Gopal Rao, in an interesting study circle. In addition to Sri Gopal Rao, another old devotee, Sri. Srinivasa Raghavan, and Sri. Mariwala joined together to read and discuss scripture like Bhagavath Geetha and also Swami’s literatures. There will be long discussions on various subjects chosen for that day. For over two decades this study circle was going on. A few visiting devotees, like me also used to join occasionally in this study circle. This spiritual exercise went on till Sri Gopal Rao was admitted in the hospital, from where he breathed his last, and merged in Bhagavan baba.
