. GV vino a nuestro rescate.

A continuación, terminamos nuestro Tiffin. Swami le preguntó a Mr. Cheema ",... Cheema! Kya Samachar ? ..."(¿Qué noticias hay?) .

Ambos realizamos unas pocas fotos.

Seguimos sentados, sonriendo y viéndolo a él.

Delhi Tour with Sathya Sai - Part 5.

The Revelation.....

Swami began His elaborate response,( in case you have arrived here directly and have no idea as to what Swami is responding to, please stop here. Read the previous episodes and return. This hub will be waiting!)

“Yes! At that time, I stayed for ten days. I had stayed at the place of the Gwalior Rani (queen) too. Many people had come. ( In Punjab) If we see on one side, it was all turbans and on the other side, it was all burkhas! Indulal Shah and Sarla Shah were there.”

GV sir also added saying that we had films of all that and I added the word “Kashmir” into the conversation somewhere - I do not remember how, now. I just wanted to speak to Swami to tell him that I got wonderful pictures at the Qutb Minar. Seeing that I was not succeeding, I told SK to say that sometime.

Immediately, as Swami asked, “What did you buy there?”, SK responded, “Swami we did not buy anything. We only saw everything and we took good photos.” Swami nodded and said, “Though you did not buy, seeing some things the desire to buy would have arisen.” The tiffin continued.

Then, looking at all of us, in the most simple manner, Swami said, “When you went to see all that, I went in flight to Puttaparthi. There I gave prasadam to all the sick and ailing people and we returned.”

Now that was a STARTLING REVELATION. We were amazed and thrilled and Swami had said it in such a casual and normal manner.

Have you read the previous parts of this amazing visit? Please read them to enjoy the flow.....

Delhi Tour Part 4

Swami then saw the Pav Bhaji that all of us were eating. The ever inquisitive God that He is, He asked, “What is that?” When everyone answered – Pav bhaji – He seemed more confused than enlightened! GV came to our rescue.

“Swami in Portuguese, Pav means bread. They were the first ones to colonise Bombay and since then, in Bombay and Maharashtra, this Pav Bhaji is famous.” All of us were amazed at the extent of his knowledge. Somewhere in between, Swami asked JC, “Are you able to hear what am saying?” He nodded and Swami asked him what He had said. JC was blank and Swami smiled saying, “Then don’t say that you could hear!”

We then finished our tiffin. Swami asked Mr.Cheema, “Cheema! Kya Samachar?” ( What news?) He told Swami that devotees awaited Him at the Dwarka grounds. Before that, Swami was told, that there were devotees waiting for His darshan doing bhajans at the International centre as well. Swami asked whether the car was ready. He said that everything was in place. Swami said , “Then let’s go.” And He moved immediately.

On the stage at the Sathya Sai International Centre

We quickly moved behind Him. Swami moved into the lift and then arrived down. Via the ramp, He moved to the congregation area where the bhajans were on. I saw Appa sitting in the first line and took some pictures. As Swami arrived on the stage, the two powerful coolers placed there blew away at His hair. They were quickly decommissioned and then recomissioned at a much lower speed! Swami sat for two bhajans after which He took Aarthi. Today, He was putting beats for the bhajans. After the Aarthi, He blessed everyone with Abhayahastha and said, “Let us go!”

On the way to the car before departure to the Dwarka Grounds

Turning around, Swami moved up the ramp. Now I saw Amma in the second line and she seemed happy at the very close darshan she got. I saw Appa again and told him that he better take padanamaskar when Swami was returning after granting the brief darshan. He obeyed me with great joy. Swami came to the main entrance and got into the car. We all were told to board our bus and so we passed by in front of Swami as He was going into the car. Soon we were in our bus but we could not be part of Swami’s VIP convoy that was speeding away and thus, we began to trail Swami by almost 20 minutes!

After initially complaining about how it is a must for us to be along with Swami, I resigned to fate, settled comfortably in my seat and began to doze. We were indeed trailing Swami by 20 minutes and we were ushered in at the back entrance of the stadium. It was so quiet and peaceful there and it was evident that there must have been heavy security. We entered the back of a stage and as we came on the stage, it opened out into a huge one! It was amazingly large – the size of about 3 Shanti Vedikas ( the stage in the stadium at Puttaparthi)! And there were two such stages and two different levels! It was magnificent and there were lights all around.

An impressive view of the Dwarka Grounds stage

The only sad part of the whole thing was that the devotees, and there were thousands and thousands of them, were all very very far from the stage. Swami would have literally been seen only as a Nataraj pencil - an red body with a black head! When we reached the grounds, some children- boys and girls- were singing from the lower stage and Swami was seated on the upper stage. Lights had been focused on to Him and He looked so wonderful. We were late and so we heard only the conclusion of one song after which there was Veda chanting by a huge delegation of Balvikas children on the main stage.

Swami turned His chair to face them and He swayed His hands in rhythm to the chants. After the chanting, Swami was told that there was a drama scheduled on the stage where He presently was seated. So He was requested to sit on the lower stage. Swami agreed and He moved down via another huge long ramp. Before that happened, two kids came to Swami with rose and floral offerings. A card was shown to Him and then Swami blessed them to begin.

Blessings before the drama.....

The carpeted area where Swami was to sit was in one vertex of the lower stage and Swami sat there. He saw all the boys who came and sat beside Him and said, “Take mikes and begin singing.” There was a hurry to get mikes but before they arrived Mr.Cheema told Swami that if He permitted, they would begin the drama. Swami told them to begin and that’s what happened.

The drama had a simple plot. It depicted the life of a child who had ingrained in him the human values most essential in society today. It began with a teacher inspiring all the students to get prepared for the Republic day celebrations that were due in a week. In the meanwhile, the story and inspiring ideals of the protagonist were depicted. While all the other children splurge on toys and gifts, he buys a walking stick for his grandmother! He also teaches them ideals and inspires them always. He had a mop of curly hair and he wore an orange T shirt. It was not difficult to make out whom he was alluding to. He was a good representation of the 1930s Sathya in the 22nd century.

Even as the drama started, CG and I went opposite to the boys, on Swami’s left and sat there. A short while into the drama, I saw that there were atleast half a dozen flies that were troubling Him by sitting on His feet. Slowly I moved and told St who was next to Swami about it and St so beautifully covered His feet with a kerchief. It was an elegant and brilliant idea. Now the flies no longer seemed to bother Him and the hand fan that I procured from a nearby devotee to shoo away the flies was rendered useless. I joined CG and continued to see Swami and the drama. Both of us took a few shots.

The drama progressed slowly and when it was almost 6:50pm, Swami told, “Come let us leave now.” When He was told that it would take a little more time, Swami said, “ It is already late and we have to travel back!” Swami too was aware of the long journey to be made! But then again, Mr.Cheema stepped in and requested Swami to stay on for another ten minutes.

After a while, Swami again looked at us and asked, “Aayipoyinda?” What could we say or do? We continued to sit, smiling and seeing Him. He then turned around to JK and told him to take the chair. What could he do? As if protesting, Swami gently kicked away the handkerchief that had covered His feet and made a pouting face! ( That was so sweet!) Ns saw that (the act and not the intent) and so he came forward and gently placed the kerchief back. Wanting to ensure that the intention is noticed, Swami kicked away the kerchief, harder this time, and kept moving both His feet, to and fro after toppling the pillows that acted as a foot rest! We all smiled and St smiled putting the kerchief into His pocket.

In another five minutes, the drama concluded.
