"¿Sabes por qué hago estos encuentros deportivos? Porque las personas como ustedes que son inteligentes y capaces pueden hacer cosas más grandes para Mí. Puedes construir un Museo Chaithanya Jyothi; puedes construir un hospital o una escuela o dirigir una Misión para Mí. Pero, ¿qué harán estos niños pequeños? ¿Qué pueden hacer después de todo, con sus habilidades y recursos limitados? Por lo tanto, les doy estas oportunidades para hacer Encuentros Deportivos o hacer algo de Seva en cualquier forma pequeña. ¿Por qué hago esto? Porque, sé que algún día en su vida, necesitarán Mi gracia. Y cuando él o ella oren por Mi gracia, tengo que volver atrás y pensar qué ha hecho este niño o niña por Mí mediante el cual podre extenderle mi gracia, en su momento de necesidad ".

Las Reuniones Deportivas o estas funciones no son solo una oportunidad para presentar sus habilidades y talentos. Eso es una parte de ello. La agenda más amplia es en realidad desarrollar este vínculo de amor entre los estudiantes y Swami. Sigues haciendo algo por Swami una y otra vez con gran devoción y amor; y eso te purifica. Purifica al que hace cualquier cosa por Swami, por muy poco que hagas algo por Dios con amor, el acto de hacer por Dios nos purifica desde dentro y esa es la razón por la que Swami crea estas oportunidades.
En 2014, cuando estaba en la casa de Indulal Ji en Mumbai para invitarlo al primer encuentro deportivo que se iba a celebrar en Muddenahalli, Swami le dijo:
"¿Sabes por qué hago estos encuentros deportivos? Porque las personas como ustedes que son inteligentes y capaces pueden hacer cosas más grandes para Mí. (Por cierto, Sri Indulal Shah celebrará su cumpleaños número 100 el 29 de enero y Swami ya ordenó un almuerzo lujoso, no solo para los estudiantes de Muddenahalli sino para todos los estudiantes del campus para celebrar la fiesta de cumpleaños de su amigo más querido. Ese es el amor de Swami. Por supuesto, el helado tiene que ser una parte integral, no negociable!)
Al igual que draupadi ató un trozo de sari en el dedo de krishna que estaba sangrando y la razón era que estaba comiendo caña de azúcar y se cortó descuidadamente, por así decirlo, ¡con el pedazo de caña de azúcar ! ¡El que maneja el Sudarshana Chakra, puede cortarse el dedo con una caña de azúcar?
Esa es la magnanimidad de Krishna, a quien no le importó sangrar, por el hecho de crear una oportunidad para que Draupadi le sirva atándole un pedazo de sari, que para que en su momento recibiera la gracia de Krishna y salvar su honor en el momento de necesidad.
Por la misma razón Swami crea todas estas pequeñas oportunidades de servicio para nosotros y para los estudiantes; esta maravillosa oportunidad de tocar en la Brass Band o marchar por Swami o simplemente hacer cualquier cosa por Swami para que un día, cuando recuerde el momento de nuestra necesidad, pueda pensar y decir: "¡Oh! Este chico marchó por Mí muy bien. ¡Lo hizo por Mi bien! Déjame bendecirlo por eso. "Incluso si hacemos poco, Él lo multiplica. Su gracia se multiplicará cuando más lo necesitemos. Y esa es la razón pura por la que Él crea estas oportunidades.
Estoy muy contento de que estos niños no solo hayan tomado, sino que aprovecharon esta oportunidad con ambas manos. Y todos querían ser parte de ello de una manera u otra. Durante la visita de Swami al bloque Pre Universitario, escuchábamos conversaciones maravillosas. Todos tenían una experiencia para compartir. Y esas experiencias eran muy maravillosas.
Un chico en la danza del león, del que les debo hablar. Este chico se caía constantemente del pilar porque era nuevo en esto, no estaba seguro y era la primera vez que actuaba. Cuando Swami vino para el ensayo, estaba muy nervioso porque Swami lo estaba observando. La idea de actuar frente a Swami lo había abrumado y él no podía hacer todo lo que quería. El chico se cayó varias veces y luego subió al escenario, desanimado, Swami lo consoló: “¿Por qué temes? ¿Por que tienes miedo? ¡Lo harás bien! ". Luego le dijo al otro chico:" como líder, es tu deber animar a los miembros de tu equipo y no regañarlo ", porque Swami sabía muy bien que el líder le gritaría. Swami protegió al niño de su ira. Como si esto no fuera un estímulo suficiente, esa noche, nuevamente, durante el Darshan, Swami le dijo a este chico que lo haría bien y que no se preocupara.
Él, dio su Darshan, y aún así, la madre o el líder o el padre cuestionaban, no estaban satisfechos con el estímulo de Swami. Regresó nuevamente, y le dio un anillo para asegurarse de que esto era como oro fundido, que creía que el niño lo haría bien. Se lo puso en el dedo y nuevamente le aseguró que no temiera.
¡Este chico que era la cabeza del león y lo hizo muy bien en la sesión inaugural del Encuentro de Deportes, y cada vez que saltaba, Swami contenía el aliento! (Risas)
No se trataba solo de la fe del niño en Swami, sino también de Swami en ese niño. Ambos estaban siendo probados al mismo tiempo. La fe del niño de que le iría bien y la fe de Swami de que le he dicho al chico que lo haría bien, debería tener fe en Mi fe y hacerlo bien.
Tanto el devoto como el dios; ¡Ambos honores estaban en juego ese día! Siempre que Swami atraviesa emociones, yo también atravieso esa emoción. Es como una conexión paralela y mi pecho estaba congestionado porque sentía la presión.
El evento continuó bien, y finalmente, cuando el niño se acercó al estrado y se quitó la cabeza de león, inmediatamente se rindió en gratitud como diciendo: "¡Swami! Me hiciste darme cuenta de lo que es cuando dices que lo haría bien. ¡Cuando colocas tu mano sobre mi cabeza, ahora sé lo que significa! "
Me elevas a más de lo que puedo ser. Eres más fuerte cuando estás con Swami. Y Él te eleva más allá de tus capacidades a más de lo que puedes ser. Había mucha interacción de emoción. Swami de nuevo bendijo al niño. Cada vez que Swami veía a ese niño, le sonreía como si dijera: 'Tú salvaste mi honor; ¡Salvé tu honor! ”(Risas)
Esa sonrisa especial lo dice todo para ese niño.
Esa es la relación entre Swami y un devoto. Si extrapolan esto en nuestras vidas o actividades de hoy en día, muchas veces no estamos seguros de lo que tenemos que hacer. Cada momento de vigilia, hay un desafío que surge; ya sea en la familia, nuestra profesión, incluso las actividades de seva que hacemos aquí. Cada vez, volvemos y caemos sobre el hombro de Swami, que nos levanta para caminar sobre las montañas, para caminar sobre los mares tormentosos. Tenemos que creer que si Swami piensa que puede ser, ¡así SERA! Y debo poner mi fe completa en Swami.
Esto es algo que no he visto que ocurra, incluso en muchos ancianos, pero veo que esto sucede en estos pequeños estudiantes. Probablemente, no han visto tanto del mundo, pero sin embargo, tienen la idea de lo que sera cuando tengan que enfrentar al mundo. Tendrán que enfrentar al mundo y saben cómo enfrentarlo. Están mejor equipados. Están mejor preparados para el mundo de mañana que muchos de nosotros o que la mayoría de nosotros.
Como ex estudiante, puedo decir esto porque he sido estudiante y también hemos tratado de hacer varias cosas con gran amor, con gran devoción a Swami. Hoy, sea lo que seamos como estudiantes de Swami, donde sea que estemos, lo que sea que hayamos logrado es simplemente por Su gracia. Siempre nos dio más de lo que merecíamos. Dondequiera que fuimos, nos bendijo con éxito. Él siempre nos bendijo con más abundancia de la que podríamos haber logrado mediante nuestros propios esfuerzos singulares.
Esa es la bendición de la Reunión de Deportes creada por Swami, para que sea una oportunidad para que hagamos algo por Él, para que Él pueda hacer más por nosotros. Ese es el tipo de mecanismo que se cumple en sí mismo, porque Él quiere hacer más por ti, así que quiere que hagas un poco por él.
Estoy muy contento de que ustedes (los niños) hayan estado a la altura de la ocasión y lo hayan hecho mejor que nunca. Al menos, cuatro o cinco Deportes se encuentran aquí de los que soy testigo; Ha sido una maravillosa oportunidad.
Como ancianos, como espectadores, o como devotos que están aquí; Todos hemos derivado mucha inspiración de su acto de devoción y entrega a Swami. No sé de todos los demás, pero he vuelto a comprometerme nuevamente con esta misión.
No pretendo jubilación alguna, solo quiero servir y cuidar a todos los niños hasta que la última gota de sangre fluya por mis venas. Ese es el compromiso que Swami nos hizo cuando nos hizo ver lo que todos ustedes han hecho. Es muy redentor. Ese es el pensamiento más alto en mi mente. Estoy seguro de que este es el pensamiento en la mayoría de sus mentes también. Los recuerdos que los niños han creado para todos nosotros, lo apreciaremos por el resto de nuestras vidas; lo más importante, la lección que hemos aprendido de ustedes, su devoción, permanecerá con nosotros para siempre.

But what can these little children do after all with their little limited skills and resources? So, I give them these opportunities to do Sports Meet or Seva in whatsoever small way. I know that someday in their life, they will need My grace.”

The Sports Meet or these functions are not just an opportunity to present your skills and talents. That is one part of it. The larger agenda is actually to develop this bond of love between students and Swami. You keep doing something for Swami over and over again with great devotion and love; it purifies you. It purifies the one who does anything for Swami even howsoever little you do something for God with love, the act of doing for God purifies us from within and that is the reason why Swami creates these opportunities.
In 2014, when I was in Indulal Ji’s home in Mumbai to invite him for the first Sports Meet that was to be held in Muddenahalli, Swami said to him,
“You know why I do these Sports Meets? Because people like you who are intelligent and capable can do bigger things for Me. You can build up a Chaithanya Jyothi Museum; you can build a hospital or a school or run a Mission for Me. But what will these little children do? What can they do after all with their little limited skills and resources? So, I give them these opportunities to do Sports Meet or do some Seva in whatsoever small way. Why do I do this? Because, I know that someday in their life, they will need My grace. And when he or she prays for My grace, I have to go back and think what has this boy or girl done for Me using which I can extend My grace to him or her, in his or her time of need.”
(Incidentally, Sri Indulal Shah will be celebrating his 100th Birthday on Jan 29 and Swami has already ordered a lavish lunch, not just for the Muddenahalli students but for all the campus students to celebrate his dearest friend’s birthday party. That is Swami’s love. Of course, ice cream has to be an integral, non-negotiable part!)
Like Draupadi tied a piece of saree on Krishna’s finger which was bleeding and the reason was He was eating sugarcane and He cut His finger carelessly – so to say – with the piece of sugarcane of all the things! The One who wields the Sudarshana Chakra can cut His finger with a sugar cane!! That is the magnanimity of Krishna who did not mind bleeding for the sake of creating an opportunity for Draupadi to instantly serve Him by tying a piece of saree which would extend itself manifolds to save her honour at the time of need.
The same is the reason why Swami creates all these little service opportunities for us and for students; this wonderful opportunity of playing in Brass Band or marching for Swami or just doing anything for Swami so that one day when He looks back at the time of our need, He can think and say, ‘Oh! This boy marched for Me very well. He did it for My sake! Let Me bless Him against that.’ Even if little we do, He manifolds. His grace will become multiplied when we need Him the most. And that is the pure reason why He creates these opportunities.
I am so glad these children have not just taken but grabbed this opportunity with both hands. And everybody wanted to be a part of it in some way or the other. During Swami’s visit to the PU block, we were listening to wonderful talks. Everybody had an experience to share. And that experience is so very wonderful.
One boy in lion dance, I must talk about. This boy was consistently falling from the pillar because he was new to this, he was not confident and it was the first time that he was performing. When Swami came for the rehearsal, he was all the more nervous that Swami was watching him. The idea of performing in front of Swami had overwhelmed him and he could not do as much as he wanted to do. The boy fell a few times and came up to the stage later, dejected, Swami consoled the boy, “Why do you fear? Why are you afraid? You will do well!” Then he told the other boy, ‘as a leader it is your duty to encourage your team member and not scold him’, because Swami knew very well that the leader would give him a mouth full. Swami protected the boy from his wrath. As if this was not enough of an encouragement, that evening, again during Darshan Swami told this boy that he would do well and not worry. He went around Darshan and still the mother or leader or the concerned father in Swami was not satisfied with the encouragement. He came back again the same way, gave him a ring to make sure this was like cast in gold that He believed that the boy would do well. He put it on his finger and again assured him not to fear.
This boy who was the front of the lion did so well on the inaugural session of the Sports Meet, and every time he was jumping, Swami was holding His breath!! (Laughter) It was not just about the boy’s faith in Swami but it was also Swami’s faith in that boy. Both were being tested at the same time. The boy’s faith that he would do well and Swami’s faith that I have told the boy that he would do well, the boy should have the faith in My faith and do well. Both the devotee and the God; both their honours were at stake on that day! Whenever Swami goes through emotions, I go through that emotion too. It is like a parallel connection and my chest was congested because I was feeling the pressure.
The event went on well and finally when the boy came to the dais and removed the lion’s head, he immediately broke down in gratitude as if to say, ‘Swami! You made me realize what it is when you say I would do well. When You place Your hand on my head, I know now what it means!’ You raise me up to more than what I can be- You are stronger when you are with Swami. And He raises you up beyond your capacities to more than what you can ever be. There was so much of interaction of emotion. Swami again blessed the boy. Any time Swami saw that boy, He smiled at him as if saying, ‘You saved My honour; I saved your honour!’ (Laughter) That special smile tells it all to that boy.
That is the relationship between Swami and a devotee. If you extrapolate this in our day today life or activities, many a times we are not confident of what we have got to do. Every waking moment, there is a challenge that comes up; be it at family, our profession, even the activities of seva that we do over here. Every time, we go back and fall upon the shoulder of Swami which raises us to walk on the mountains, to walk on the stormy seas. We have to believe that if Swami thinks it can be, so IT CAN BE! And I must place my complete faith in Swami. This is something that I have not seen happening even in many elders but I see this happening in these little students. Probably, they have not seen so much of the world, but nevertheless they have got the idea of what it would be whenever they have to face the world. They will have to face the world and they know how to face it. They are better equipped. They are better prepared for the world tomorrow than many of us or most of us.
As a student, I can say this because I have been a student and we have also tried to do several things with great love, with great devotion to Swami. Today, whatever we are as students of Swami, wherever we are, whatever we have achieved is purely because of His grace. He always gave us more than what we deserved. Anywhere we went, He blessed us with success. He always blessed us with more abundance than what we could have ever achieved by our own singular efforts.
That is this blessing of Sports Meet which is created by Swami so that it is an opportunity for us to do something for Him so that He can do more for us. That is the self fulfilling kind of a mechanism that He wants to do more for you so He wants you to do a little for Him.
I am very glad that you (children) have risen to the occasion and done better than ever before. At least, the four or five Sports Meet here that I am witness to; it has been a wonderful opportunity. As elders, as onlookers, or as devotees who are here; we all have derived a lot of inspiration from your act of devotion and surrender to Swami. I don’t know about everybody else, but I have ended up recommitting myself to this mission once more. I don’t want any retirement but want to serve and look after all the children till the last drop of blood flows in my veins. That is the commitment that Swami got out of us when He made us see what you all have done. It is very redeeming. That is the upper most thought in my mind. I am sure this is the thought in most of your minds too. The memories that the children have created for all of us, we will cherish for the rest of our lives; most importantly, the lesson that we have learnt from you, your devotion, will remain with us forever.
