LEYENDA DE AMOR, EL LEGADO DE VIDA.

- Un documental especial de 30 episodios, de Radio Sai

20 de octubre 1940. Fue un día como hoy, hace setenta años, que Bhagavan Baba dio a conocer el

misterio que rodeaba su nacimiento, vida y misión. Declaró a la gente cercana, y ha través de ellos a toda

la humanidad, que de hecho es la Conciencia Suprema encarnada en una forma diminuta y encantadora.

"Ya no soy tu Sathya, soy Sai ... yo tengo mi trabajo, mis devotos me están llamando ...",.... anunció

abiertamente ese día.

Desde entonces, este depósito eterno de la energía y empatía, esperanza y felicidad, consuelo y socorro,

de luz y  amor, nos ha alimentado y nutrido, y aseguró que la pequeña semilla de bondad latente dentro de

cada individuo, se convierta en un gigantesco árbol de amor y serenidad. 

Y al igual que un maestro perfecto, Él lo ha demostrado, por vivir ese principio, en todos los

momentos de su propia vida. El resultado es un legado que continuará luminiscente, para iluminar los

oscuros callejones de la conciencia colectiva de la humanidad, elevándola a un estado de sublimidad

absoluta para las generaciones venideras.

"Leyenda de amor - Legados de vida" busca captar algunos aspectos destacados más importantes de esta

saga gloriosa de amor puro. Este documental de Radio Sai de 30 episodios, se inició el 20 de octubre de

2010 en Radio Sai, para continuar diariamente hasta 19 de noviembre, de 2010.

A continuación se presenta la adaptación del texto de esta serie  adornados con imágenes, clips de audio y videos !

Vamos a sumergirnos en la historia de su gloria, y más importante, procurar que nuestras pequeñas vidas

brillen con el resplandor sagrado de la pureza, la nobleza y compasión genuina.

Episodio 5: Los bancos de la Chitravati

En el artículo anterior se relato cómo Baba se había anunciado como el Avatar, arrojando sus libros de texto, como si desechara las cadenas que le impedían su misión. Había, sin embargo, accedió a regresar a Puttaparthi a la casa de Su devota desde hace mucho tiempo, Subbamma. donde transcurrió sus Divinas Lilas cuando era joven, Sathya había disfrutado la comida vegetariana en su casa. 

Con Baba instalado en su jardín, ella empezó a cocinar para grupos grandes de personas que buscaban su darshan o querían permanecer solo en su presencia.

Lo que comenzó como un culto de Jueves,  pronto se convirtió en un hecho cotidiano en beneficio de los recién llegados. Los Bhajans al principio se cantaba en una habitación de ocho por ocho pies , por lo que muchos se sentaban fuera. Lilas o Juego Divino era un fenómeno cotidiano.Una vez, unos pocos peregrinos llegaron de Kamalapur. Baba preguntó si les gustaría escuchar la flauta de Krishna. Él les rogó que pusieran la cabeza en su pecho y luego lo que oyeron fue absolutamente etéreo ! Las notas de la flauta dulce y  hermosa del Avatar Krishna llenaban su ser. 

La Madre Ishvaramma compartió una experiencia emocionante. Cuando Baba decía: "Escuchen. Shirdi Sai Ram está aquí ", ella y todos en la sala oían las sandalias de madera maciza, que avanzaban hacia donde Baba estaba sentado. 

Durante esos días, el punto culminante de la actividad diaria era dirigirse a la orilla del río Chitravati, donde los Bhajans eran realizados. Como el sol bajaba hacia occidente, un grupo de 30 o más preparaban el lugar. Ellos llevaban instrumentos musicales necesarios para el acompañamiento, una gran alfombra que se colocaba sobre la arena,  y algunos faroles. 

Cada día era diferente, y hay infinitas versiones sobre lo ocurrido. La Sra. Vijayakumari en su libro, "Sin ti no hay refugio o Anyata Sharanam Nasti ", ha documentado algunas experiencias.

Ella explica que en una pequeña colina al lado del río Chitravati, había un árbol de tamarindo. Hace décadas, este árbol, conocido ahora como el Kalpavriksha o "Árbol que cumple los deseos" fue el escenario de muchas Leelas.

La señora Vijayakumari escribe: "Había una enorme piedra en el Kalpavriksha. Alrededor de 200 personas cómodamente podrían sentarse en la roca. Baba saltando tomaba un puñado de hojas del árbol de tamarindo, y Sai daba una hoja a cada uno de nosotros y nos pedía que mantuviéramos las manos cerradas. Cuando las abríamos a su orden, nos encontrábamos con un montón de cosas, dulces de azúcar en una mano, un rosario en otra y una menta en la tercera, etc.. A continuación se nos pedía que cerráramos el puño otra vez, y cuando los abríamos, cuando el lo ordenaba , nos encontraríamos con sólo hojas de tamarindo! " Así Baba enseñaba la impermanencia de las cosas materiales. 

Pero el árbol era un gran almacén de nectarina presenta también. El biógrafo de Bhagavan, el difunto profesor N. Kasturi, comenta como Baba arrancaba del árbol una manzana de una rama, un mango de otra, una naranja de la tercera, y peras e higos de las cuarta y quinta . No importaba si la fruta era de temporada o no. " Pedid y se os dará ", parecía ser el mensaje. †

SHIRDI SAI - PARTHI SAI_SERIAL

La señora Vijayakumari continua : "Bajando de esta roca,  se reunían en las arenas Chitravati en un lugar adecuado seleccionado por los devotos. Después de cantar por un tiempo y escuchar el discurso de Swami sobre las travesuras de Krishna, nos preguntaba si teníamos hambre y si queríamos que él nos diera algo de comer. A pesar de que movía las manos en un montón de arena amontonada, nadie imaginaba que sería capaz de sacar algo de allí . 

Podíamos reconocer el olor de Mysore paak , una exquisitez india, con Ghee goteando de ella y salia caliente. A continuación se colocaban las piezas en una bandeja y se servían a todos con sus propias manos. 

¿Cómo puedo describir ese sabor ! . Después de comer el dulce, decíamos, "Swami, estamos saciados con esto. Y nos daba algunos entremeses. 

Nuestro Amado Swami, la encarnación de la compasión, entonces sacaba vadas de la arena. Su sabor no se puede describir, ni incluso por el Señor Brahma, el Creador. 

Sorprendentemente, estaban calientes y goteaban Ghee manteca, sin un grano de arena adheridos a ellos ! ¿Cómo es posible eso ? Solo son preguntas sin respuestas ! 

También extraía de la pila de arena , rosarios,  ídolos, colgantes, libros, y los entregaba a los destinatarios . "

El hermano de la señora Vijayakumari, el Sr. VR Krishna Kumar, también fue bendecido por Baba para escribir sus recuerdos de aquellos días. Su libro, "Juegos Divinos de Bala Sai", incluye un curioso incidente en el que Bhagavan aparentemente venció una maldición . En el libro, el Sr. Krishna Kumar narra:

"Un día, Swami nos ha pedido llevar cuerdas largas y nos hizo atarlas a un árbol enorme, para una hamaca. "Swami empezó los movimientos de balanceo con el impulso de la gente que lo acompañaba, él no estaba del todo satisfecho. Incluso si cuatro o cinco personas grandes lo empujaban con todas sus fuerzas, Él no estaba contento ya que no volaba lo suficiente. 

Después de un tiempo, Swami les dijo a todos que se pusieran  a un lado, a una distancia prudente; se burló diciendo que su fuerza combinada no fue de mucha utilidad. 

Y ahora lo aria  por su propio esfuerzo, Él comenzó a pivotar de forma continua, y fue cada vez mas alto. En poco tiempo, parecía alcanzar el cielo! La gente alrededor, estaban totalmente confundidos. Todos nosotros comenzamos a gritar , pero ¿cómo podría 'Cohete Sai' escuchar nuestras llamadas? "Vimos que la rama grande en la que habíamos atado las cuerdas, empezó a romperse, pero Swami continuó volando. "Con un crujido fuerte, la rama se hizo añicos y cayó. Swami se perdió  de vista! . Me imagine que Swami debió haber volado al cielo, tomando la forma de un águila!.  Él apareció por detrás y preguntó: " Todos ustedes se asustaron ? Pretendiendo que nada había ocurrido, dijo: " Su tiempo había expirado, por lo que le di la redención . " Cuando observamos la rama rota en el suelo, parecía más grande que el árbol del que cayó. " 

Mrs. Vijayakumari también relata un momento aterrador.

"Una vez, mientras estábamos descansando en la arena Chitravati, Swami dijo: '¡Mira! Naga Sai se acerca! "Pensando que se refería a una persona, me volvi para ver quién era, pero no vi a nadie. Swami dijo entonces: "Mira, en esa dirección."

Luego vi un enorme víbora arrastrándose  hacia nosotros. Esta no era un reptil común! . Parecía Adi Shesha, la serpiente divina en la cual descansa el Señor Vishnu. Era inmensa en tamaño y no podíamos ver la cola. A medida que avanzaba deslizándose y girando sinuosamente como si estuviera bailando, parecía encantada. A medida que avanzó, su cabeza se transformó de repente en el rostro bello de nuestro Señor Sai. Nunca había oído hablar de un milagro como este ! . Era como si Swami estaba proclamando que él estaba en todas partes y en todo. Sin embargo, una serpiente es una serpiente, y empezamos a temblar de miedo, ya que se acercó a nosotros. Entonces imploramos : "No Swami, no! .Por favor, te pedimos que se vaya!. " Swami miró con cuidado a la serpiente y le dijo: 'Ve ahora, Naga Sai. " Y desapareció!. Esa noche memorable está grabada en nuestras mentes. " 

El Padre Pedda Venkappa Raju tuvo su momento también muy especial. Un viejo amigo, el Sr. Krishnamachari, un abogado, llegó de Penukonda. Tomo un café en la casa de Subbamma, y se mostró escéptico de todos los fenómenos referidos a  Baba. El  acuso al  Padre Pedda Venkappa Raju de tratar de engañar a la gente inocente del pueblo ". El Padre Raju estaba tan disgustado que fue a Baba, que se encontraba en la casa,  Raju  lo desafió a que lo convenciera de su divinidad, de modo que los ataques desaparezcan. Sathya Sai le pidió al Padre para reuniera a todos los que tienen dudas de él. Por lo tanto, el abogado como otros muchos fueron a la casa de Pedda Venkappa Raju, Subbamma también estaba allí. Y ahora Sai Baba llamo a cada uno, uno a la vez, a una habitación interior, donde fueron agasajados con una visión de Sai Baba de Shirdi , con flores, humo, incienso y un asistente en la esquina repitiendo mantras. Este recinto interior que parecía ser un gran espacio abierto, con lugares transitados por avatar Shirdi. Se podía ver el Templo Anjaneya, el famoso árbol de margosa, y todo el paisaje de Shirdi, extendiéndose por millas en el horizonte . 

Este fue un momento crucial, incluso para el padre Pedda Venkappa Raju. Él era un hombre transformado. Todas las dudas acerca de su Hijo habían desaparecido. La experiencia también convenció ha  Subbamma que Shirdi Sai  y Parthi Sai, son uno y el mismo. En cuanto al abogado, le pidió disculpas por sus declaraciones y reconoció a Sai Baba como un "fenómeno divino". 

Los milagros de Sathya Sai se difundieron , generando curiosidad en los adoradores de Shirdi Baba. Baba persuadió a muchos al trasladarse a sus lugares, Baba fue a Bangalore y visitó las casas que quienes tuvieron contactos con Shirdi . En Bangalore, Baba materializó instrumentos quirúrgicos y realizó una operación ha un paciente con úlcera. La cirugía lo alivio por completo, por lo que el flujo de peregrinos aumentó aún más. Uno de los visitantes era un zapatero pobre y viejo, que pasó para tener su Darshan.  Baba se levantó y se acercó al hombre, y preguntó al hombre que quería. "Por favor, ven a mi casa ," dijo el hombre. Baba le aseguró que lo haría, y volvió a sentarse en el otro extremo de la sala. Él nunca tuvo la oportunidad de dar su dirección a Baba. ¿Cómo podía encontrar su casa a través de los barrios bajos ? Los días pasaron, y el pobre zapatero, renunció a toda esperanza de que su solicitud se hiciera realidad. De repente, un día, un auto se detuvo frente a su puesto. Aquí estaba Baba, invitando al hombre a entrar en el coche. El hombre estaba demasiado confundido como para dar la dirección de su choza, pero Baba parecía saberla.  Entonces bendijo al viejo y acepto unos plátanos que le ofreció el zapatero.

LOVING LEGEND -- LIVING LEGACIES

October 20, 1940. It was on this day, seventy years ago, that Bhagavan Baba unveiled the mystery surrounding His birth, life and mission. He declared to the people around, and through them to the entire mankind, that He indeed is the Supreme Consciousness embodied in a diminutive and delightful form. “I am no longer your Sathya, I am Sai…I have My work; My devotees are calling Me…” He announced candidly on that day.

Ever since, this eternal reservoir of energy and empathy, hope and happiness, solace and succor, light and love, has nursed and nurtured, and ensured that the tiny seed of goodness latent within every individual grows into a gigantic tree of love and serenity. And like a perfect teacher, He has demonstrated this more by living that principle in every moment of His own life. The result is a luminescent legacy that will continue to illumine the dark alleys of humanity’s collective consciousness, elevating it to a state of absolute sublimity for generations to come.

“Loving Legend – Living Legacies” seeks to capture a few salient highlights of this glorious saga of Pure Love. This 30-episode radio documentary starts on October 20, 2010 on Radio Sai to continue daily till November 19, 2010.

Episode 5: The Banks of the Chitravathi

In the previous article we read how Baba had strikingly announced His Avatarhood by throwing down His school books, as if discarding off the chains that had kept Him from His mission. He had, however, consented to move back to Puttaparthi to the house of His longtime devotee, Subbamma.

Sathya Sai’s Divine Leelas Thrill Everyone

As a youngster, Sathya had craved the vegetarian food of her household. With Baba taking up residence in her garden, she started cooking for large groups of people who would throng there seeking darshan or to just remain in His presence.

What began as a Thursday worship soon turned into a daily occurrence for the benefit of new arrivals. The bhajanswere at first sung in an eight by eight ft. room, making it necessary for many to perch outside. Leelas or Divine Play was an everyday phenomena.

Once, a few pilgrims arrived from Kamalapur. Baba asked if they would like to listen to Krishna’s flute. He bid them lay their heads on His chest and then what they heard was absolutely ethereal! The sweet strains of the lovely flute of the Krishna Avatar filled their beings; they just forgot themselves.

Mother Easwaramma herself has shared a thrilling experience.

When Baba would say, “Listen. Shirdi Sairam is here”, she and everyone in the room could hear heavy wooden-sandaled steps advancing to where Baba was sitting. So real was the experience that initially Easwaramma would even exclaim: “Who comes in with sandals on?”

During those days, the high point of daily activity was walking to the banks of River Chitravathi, where bhajans were sung. As the Sun would go down in the western sky, the group of 30 or so in number would set forth. They would carry various musical instruments needed for accompaniment during singing, a big carpet to spread on the sand, odd vessels, and a few lanterns.

As the group made its way, there would be an air of tremendous excitement and anticipation as any moment Young Sai would start His play. Each day was different, and there were infinite variations to the theme.

Mrs. Vijayakumari in her book, “Other Than You, Refuge There Is None or Anyata Sharanam Nasti”, has documented a few experiences.

She explains that on a small hill adjoining the Chitravathi river, there was a tamarind tree. Decades ago, this tree, now known as the Kalpavriksha or “Wish Fulfilling Tree” was the scene of many a Leela.

Recounting a typical day under this tree, Mrs. Vijayakumari writes:

“There was a huge boulder under the Kalpavriksha. About 200 people could comfortably sit on that rock. Jumping up topluck a handful of leaves from the tamarind tree, Sai would give a leaf to each of us and ask us to keep our palms closed. When we opened them at His command, we would find all kinds of things, sugar candy in one hand, rosary in another and peppermint in the third. He would then ask us to close the fist again and when we opened them as commanded by Him, we would find only tamarind leaves!”

Thus Baba taught the impermanence of material things. But the tree was a great storehouse of nectarine presents too.

Bhagavan’s biographer, the late Professor N. Kasturi, shares that Baba used to pluck from the tree an apple from one branch, a mango from another, an orange from the third, and pears and figs from a fourth and fifth. It didn’t matter if the fruit was in season or not. “Ask and you shall receive,” seemed to be the message. †

SHIRDI SAI - PARTHI SAI_SERIAL

Mrs. Vijayakumari continues about the miraculous sands:

“Coming down from this rock, we would assemble on the Chitravathi sands at a suitable spot selected by the devotees. After singing for some time and listening to Swami’s Discourse on the pranks of Krishna, we would exclaim that we were hungry and pester Him to give us something to eat. Even as He moved His hands on the heap of piled-up sand, we would be able to predict what He would be pulling out. We could recognise the smell of Mysore paak, an Indian delicacy. Gheewould drip from it and it would be hot. He would then place the pieces on a tray and serve us all with His own hands. How am I to describe that taste!

After eating the sweet, we would say, ‘Swami, we are satiated with this. Now give us some savouries.’ Our Beloved Swami, the embodiment of compassion, would then pull vadas out of the sand. Its taste cannot be described even by Lord Brahma, the Creator. Surprisingly, as He would keep pulling hot and ghee-dripping vadas out of the sand, not a speck of sand would cling to them! How is that possible? Only questions and no answers! He would also extract from the sand pile rosaries, idols, pendants, and books, and hand them over to those destined to receive them.”

Mrs. Vijayakumari’s brother, Mr. V. R. Krishna Kumar, was also bidden by Baba to record his memories of those days. His book, “Divine Games of Bala Sai”, includes a curious incident wherein Bhagavan apparently vanquished a curse in an area considered haunted by the villagers.

In the book, Mr. Krishna Kumar narrates:

“One day Swami asked us to bring long ropes and made us tie them to a huge tree.

“When Swami started swinging with the help of people over there, He was not at all satisfied. Even if four or five well built people pushed Him with all their might, He was not pleased as the swing went up to a certain height only. After sometime, Swami told everyone to stand aside, at a distance; He ridiculed that their combined strength was not of much use. And now all by His own effort, He started swinging continuously, and went increasingly higher.

In a short time, He seemed to reach the sky! People around were totally confused; they went out of their senses. The swing that could not go above a certain point with all the combined efforts was suddenly flying like a rocket. All of us started shouting loudly, but how could our ‘Rocket Sai’ hear our calls?

“As we watched, the big branch onto which we had tied the ropes started breaking, but Swami continued to swing.

“With a loud cracking sound, the branch shattered to pieces and fell. Swami was nowhere in sight! I imagined that Swami must have been flying in the sky, taking the form of an eagle! He appeared from behind and enquired, ‘You all got afraid?’ Pretending nothing had happened, He said, ‘The time for that spirit had expired, and thus it is given redemption.’ When we observed the broken branch lying on the ground, it appeared bigger than the tree from which it fell.”

Mrs. Vijayakumari also recounts a terrifying moment.

“Once, while we were resting on the Chitravathi sands, Swami said: ‘Look! Naga Sai is coming!’ Thinking He was referring to a person, we turned to see who it was but saw no one. Swami then said,‘Look in that direction.’

We then saw a huge snakecoming towards us. This was no ordinary reptile! It looked verily like Adi Sesha, the Divine Serpent on whom Lord Vishnu reclines. It was immense in size and we could not see its tail. As it came forward slithering and twisting sinuously as if dancing, it looked charming.

As it advanced a little more, its head was suddenly transformed into the strikingly beautiful countenance of our Lord Sai. We had never heard of a miracle like that before! It was as if Swami was proclaiming that He was everywhere and in everything. Still, a snake is a snake and we began to tremble in fear as it came near us. Looking at Swami, we implored, ‘No Swami, no! Please ask it to go away!’ Swami looked gently at the snake and said, ‘Go now, Naga Sai.’ And it disappeared! That memorable night is etched in our minds.”

Father Pedda Venkappa Raju’s Transformation

Baba has granted visions of His own manifold forms to many. These boons make cherished memories.

 

Father Pedda Venkappa Raju had his special moment too. An old friend, Mr. Krishnamachari, a lawyer, arrived from Penukonda. Visiting over coffee at Subbamma’s house, it soon emerged that this person in the legal trade was sceptical of all claims of Baba’s phenomena. He further charged Father Pedda Venkappa Raju with trying to cheat the innocent village folk with “tall stories”.

The Father Raju was so upset that he went to Baba, who happened to be in the Raju household at the time, and challenged Him to convince the doubter of His Divinity, so the attacks would subside.

Sathya Sai asked Father to bring everyone with doubts directly to Him. So, the lawyer including many others went to Pedda Venkappa Raju’s house; Subbamma was there too.

And now Sai Baba took each, one at a time, to an inner room, where they were treated to a vision of Sai Baba of Shirdi in deep contemplation, complete with flowers, smoke, incense, and an attendant in the corner repeating mantras. This inner enclosure appeared to be a vast open space, with known landmarks of the Shirdi avatar: the Anjaneya Temple, the famous Margosa Tree, and the entire Shirdi landscape spreading out for miles to the horizon in the distance.

This was a pivotal moment, for even Father Pedda Venkappa Raju. He was a changed man. All doubts about his Son had vanished. The experience also convinced Subbamma that Shirdi Sai and Parthi Sai were one and the same. As for the lawyer, he apologized for his remarks and recognized Sai Baba as a “Divine Phenomenon”.

Sathya Sai’s Miracles Draw Devotees from Afar.

As news spread, worshippers of Shirdi Baba came out of curiosity. Many persuaded Baba to move to their places and thus Baba went to Bangalore and visited houses that had contacts with places far afield.

While in Bangalore, Baba materialised surgical instruments and performed an operation on an ulcer patient. The surgery provided complete relief, so the stream of pilgrims increased all the more.

One such visitor was a poor old cobbler who happened to peek into a bungalow where he witnessed the beauty of Baba’s darshan and the effect it had on all.

Baba rose and walked up to the man, taking his dried up garland before the shoe-maker offered it. Baba also enquired what the poor man wanted. “Please come to my house also and accept something,” the man said. Baba assured him that He would, and resumed His seat at the other end of the hall. He never got the chance to give Baba his address. How could He make His way through the slums to find it?

Days passed, and the poor cobbler gave up any hope of his request coming true. Suddenly, one day, a car pulled up in front of his stall. Here was Baba, inviting the man to get into the car. The man was too confused to give directions to his hut, but Baba seemed to know. The family was graced with sweets and fruits materialised by Baba. Then He blessed the old man and partook of some plantains offered by the cobbler.

en el Sundaram de Chennai antes de ayer por la tarde, las vieron los mahilas durante sus actividades de limpieza en el Sundaram.
Además el Vibuthi sigue brotando de la foto de Bhagavan desde hace dos meses, a la entrada de los mahilas en el Sundaram.

El legado de Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

El Sr. V. Srinivasan, ingeniero calificado, es un empresario muy conocido. Él fue presidente de Industrias ubicadas en Chennai, India. Anteriormente fue el presidente nacional de la Confederación de Industrias de la India,  presidente nacional del Instituto de Ingenieros de la India,  miembro del Sindicato de la Universidad Jawaharlal, miembro senior del Instituto estadounidense de Ingenieros Eléctricos y Electrónicos, y presidente fundador de su Chennai .

Él vino a los pies de loto de Bhagavan hace más de cuatro décadas atrás, y desde entonces ha sido bendecido por Swami para ocupar varios cargos claves en su misión divina.

Como presidente para toda la India de las Organizaciones Sri Sathya Sai, el Sr. V. Srinivasan guía y supervisa las actividades de la organización en todo el país. Es miembro del Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, el Instituto Sri Sathya Sai de aprendizaje y el Sri Sathya Sai Medical Trust.

Para millones de devotos en todo el mundo, Bhagavan Baba ha sido Dios personificado. Ellos adoraban y le adoraron, rezaron sólo a Él en los momentos de alegría y tristeza; Él era su amigo, guía y filósofo. Muchos todavía siguen teniendo la misma actitud hacia él, y él todavía responde a sus oraciones en su propia forma, que no podemos ni siquiera comenzar a comprender y entender. Bhagavan sigue manifestando sus milagros en todo el mundo. Cada individuo tiene  sus propias experiencias con la Divinidad. La mayor alegría para los devotos de Sai es compartir y escuchar estos lilas - las historias de su gloria infinita. A través de estas conversaciones, que se presentan como satsangs , la fe de cada uno y la devoción se ve reforzado y fortalecido.



Todos estábamos unidos en gran medida a la maravillosa forma física de Bhagavan. Esperamos con impaciencia e interés la Darshan  diario, para el cual todos nosotros esperamos pacientemente durante horas, sin importar nuestros malestares corporales o inconvenientes. 

El Darshan era todo, y si por casualidad Baba aparecía caminando, era celestial;. Si Él hablaba con nosotros, nos elevaba a una alegría etérea.

Baba repetidamente nos decía: "Yo no soy este cuerpo, y no eres este cuerpo tampoco". Quería que nos demos cuenta del atma universal que Él personificó y de que cada uno de nosotros también es un contenedor.

Hoy en día muchos devotos se sienten perdidos. El camino por delante no es claro para ellos y también esta plagado de informes controvertidos. Ellos buscan consuelo el uno del otro, pero no están seguros de si realmente debe intercambiar ideas y noticias. Ellos se preguntan a quién recurrir en busca de alguna orientación sobre lo que pasará con el futuro en todas las instituciones y  los Centros Sai, Samithis y Mandalis Bhajan.

Ha llegado el momento, que entendamos lo que es el verdadero legado de Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.....

Para mí, el legado de Bhagavan se compone de varias partes.

Dios ha hecho las instituciones para la inspiración del hombre.

En primer lugar están las instituciones que Él ha puesto en marcha, como la Universidad, los hospitales, las escuelas, el Ashram, etc Estos son principalmente administrados por el Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust y la Fundación de la Universidad. Con su visión y previsión, Bhagavan ha establecido fondos suficientes, para que sus instituciones puedan seguir funcionando bien ,con fondos depositados a plazo fijo en bancos nacionales. Por lo tanto, todos ellos seguirán ofreciendo educación gratuita y asistencia médica para todos, independientemente de su religión, casta, credo o ingresos.




 Instituciones Sathya Sai de Servicio Implacable.


Bhagavan estableció estas instituciones para ser modelos y demostrar que es posible ofrecer una educación gratuita de alta calidad y tratamiento médico moderno, totalmente libre de costo sin buscar la ayuda del gobierno. La prueba ha estado allí por más de veinte años en el funcionamiento exitoso de estas instituciones. Cientos de miles de personas pobres y necesitadas se han beneficiado y son de hecho las pruebas de vida de la compasión y el amor de Baba. 

Estas instituciones son para aquellos que lo necesitan y se espera que motivar a los demás como Bhagavan deseaba, la creación de ciudadelas similares de amor y servicio a la humanidad.

Estas son la parte esencial de su legado, y están allí para que todo el mundo para ver y experimentar.


El amor - el Camino Real a la salvación.


La segunda parte es una manifestación de la finalidad para la que el Avatar Sai descendió. Él era el Amor personificado, un amor que trasciende todas las barreras y los límites, un amor que abarca a toda la creación. El ha encendido la lámpara del amor en millones de corazones, la brillantez que inspira a transformar sus vidas y proyectos,  el amor en su vida diaria. Este amor hace que las personas cuiden y compartan con las personas, que en conjunto forman la sociedad y por sus acciones, motivan a otros también a cuidar y compartir, que conduce a una mejora general de la sociedad. A pesar de que este proceso puede ser lento, su impacto es de larga duración. Inspiración del amor Baba a millones de personas se traduce en verdadero amor en acción en todo el mundo.



Este amor transforma la vida a cada segundo. La vida adquiere un nuevo significado. Para los devotos de Sai hay un nuevo camino - Yoga Prema, que encarna todos los otros yogas, el Karma, Bhakti y Gnana, dentro de sí mismo. Bhagavan ha dicho que "vivamos en el amor" y que es el camino para nuestra continua comunión con él.

El amor es por lo tanto, el mayor legado de Bhagaván, que no puede ser tocado, pero es real y universal y experimentado por todos. Pertenece a toda la humanidad, no sólo para unos pocos. No puede ser apropiado por nadie, pero sólo se puede compartir y con experiencia, redimir a todos.


Educare - el verdadero camino de la Educación .


La tercera parte de su legado es la educación. Mientras que otros muchos hablaban de él, Bhagavan postulo e introdujo en sus instituciones educativas los valores humanos basados en los planes de estudio. El sistema de Educación Integral implementado en la Universidad Sai es único y diferente a cualquier otro. La Educación en Valores Humanos  introducidos por Bhagavan, incluye 3-AT, y Educare. La educación impartida en sus instituciones es de por vida y no sólo para ganarse la vida. Desde la etapa de la infancia, la educación basada en valores se implementa en las clases de Bal Vikas, que se llevan a cabo a lo largo y ancho de la India y en muchos otros países a través de las escuelas de tiempo completo y la Universidad de Sai. 

Este legado de valores basado en la Educación Sai, es un regalo invaluable a la humanidad para la posteridad.



Organización Sri Sathya Sai - Un vivero espiritual de la Humanidad.


La cuarta parte de su legado es la Organización Sri Sathya Sai, que está activa en todos los estados de la India y en 125 países del mundo. La Organización es un instrumento creado por Bhagavan para que todos puedan llevar a cabo su sadhana y alcanzar sus metas espirituales a través de élla. 

La Organización cuenta con tres alas - el servicio, educación y espiritualidad. Uno puede elegir cualquier otro para realizar sus seva y sadhana. Hoy en día sólo en la India, hay 600.000 miembros que voluntariamente sirven con amor y devoción. Incluyen funcionarios de gobierno y  burócratas, médicos, ingenieros, jueces y abogados, profesores y maestros, legisladores, agricultores y estudiantes. Ellos trabajan en más de 2.700 aldeas, y en los barrios pobres, hospitales, hogares de ancianos, cárceles, orfanatos y en zonas de desastre, inspirados por el mensaje de Bhagavan de que el servicio al hombre es servicio a Dios. Muchos de ellos ni siquiera han tenido la oportunidad de hablar con Swami, sin embargo, han sido sobrealimentado por su divinidad y han dedicado sus vidas al servicio desinteresado.


Vemos Sevadal voluntarios, de todos los estados de la India, que con regularidad sirven  en el ashram, en los hospitales, y en todos los lugares en Prashanti Nilayam. Ellos vienen aquí por su propia cuenta, con amor dando su tiempo y esfuerzo. Para estos voluntarios, que ofrecen seva tal es su comunión con Bhagavan Baba, ya que saben que Bhagavan se complace cuando servimos a los pobres y necesitados de amor y su fe es que Bhagavan esta allí donde su trabajo es realizado. Este seva ha transformado sus vidas, y seguirán participando hasta el final de sus vidas. Nadie puede decir que Bhagavan esta lejos de ellos, porque Él está siempre con ellos. 




Las actividades de la Organización deben continuar y no harán sino aumentar en el futuro. La juventud está dando un nuevo dinamismo y energía a la organización, utilizando nuevas herramientas y tecnología para mejorar la eficiencia de sus Seva. Este legado de Bhagavan creado para el bien de la humanidad y el bienestar personal, no siempre puede ser llevado por otra persona , sólo debe ser compartido y experimentado personalmente por el devoto .

La Organización Sai esta activa en 125 países del mundo. Bhagavan no pertenece sólo a la India y los indios, sino a todos los ciudadanos de esta tierra. Vinieron millones por su amor e inspiración, y continuarán haciéndolo porque él se ha convertido en una parte de sus vidas para siempre.

Esto por lo tanto, queridos hermanos y hermanas, es el legado de Amor de Baba. Su legado es su mensaje eterno para la humanidad. Bienaventurados los que lo conocían. Aún más bienaventurados son aquellos que comparten su legado de amar a todos y servir a todos.

THE LEGACY OF BHAGAWAN SRI SATHYA SAI BABA

Mr. V. Srinivasan


Aqualified engineer, Mr. V. Srinivasan is a well-known industrialist. He is the chairman of W.S. Industries located in Chennai, India. He was formerly the national president of the Confederation of Indian Industries, the national president of the Institute of Indian Plant Engineers, a member of the Jawaharlal University Syndicate, senior member of the US-based Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers, and founder chairman of its Chennai chapter.

He came to the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan more than four decades ago, and has since then been blessed by Swami to hold several key positions in His divine mission.

As the all-India president of the Sri Sathya Sai Organisations, Mr. V. Srinivasan guides and supervises the activities of the organization across the country. He is a Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning Trust and the Sri Sathya Sai Medical Trust.

For millions of devotees all over the world, Bhagawan Baba has been God personified. They worshipped and adored Him; they prayed only to Him in times of joy and sorrow; He was their friend, guide and philosopher. Many still continue to have the same attitude towards Him and He still answers their prayers in His own unique way, which we cannot even begin to comprehend and understand. Bhagawan continues to manifest His miracles all over the world. Each individual has his/her own special experiences of Baba’s Divinity. The greatest joy for Sai devotees is to share and listen to these leelas - the infinite stories of His glory. Through these conversations, which are in fact satsangs, each one’s faith and devotion is reinforced and strengthened.

All of us were greatly attached to Bhagawan’s wondrous physical form. We eagerly looked forward to the daily darshans for which all of us waited patiently for hours without caring for our bodily discomforts or inconveniences. Darshan was everything, and if by chance Baba looked our way, it was heavenly; if He spoke to us, we were transported to ethereal joy.

Baba had repeatedly told us “I am not this body, and you are not this body too”. He wanted us to realise the universalatma which He personified and of which each one of us is also a container.

Today many devotees are feeling lost. The road ahead is not clear to them and they are also plagued by the reports of various controversies. They seek solace from each other but are not sure whether they should really exchange thoughts and news. They wonder whom to turn to for some guidance on what will happen to the future of all the institutions and the Sai Centers, Samithisand Bhajan Mandalis.

The time has come for us to understand what is the real legacy of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba!

To me, the legacy of Bhagawan consists of several parts.

God-Made Institutions for Man's Inspiration

First are the Institutions that He has set up, such as the University, the Hospitals, the Schools, the Ashram, etc. These are mainly administered by the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust and the University Trust. With His vision and foresight, Bhagawan has set up adequate corpus funds for His Institutions to enable them to continue to function well on the income from these funds, which are all deposited in the fixed deposits with nationalised banks. Hence, all of them will continue to offer free education and medical treatment to all, irrespective of religion, caste, creed or income.




Sathya Sai Institutions in Relentless Service


Bhagawan established these Institutions to be models to prove that it is possible to offer free high quality education and the most modern medical treatment totally free of cost without seeking assistance from the government for everything. The proof has been there for more than twenty years in the successful working of these Institutions. Lakhs of poor and needy persons have benefited and they are indeed the living proofs of Baba’s compassion and love. These Institutions are for those that need them and hopefully will motivate others as Bhagawan wished, to set up similar citadels of love and service to humanity.

These are the material parts of His Legacy, which are there for the whole world to see and experience.

Love - the Royal Path to Salvation

The second part is a manifestation of the purpose for which the Sai Avatar descended. He was Love personified, a Love which transcended all barriers and limits, a Love which encompassed the entire creation. He has lit the lamp of love in millions of hearts, the brilliance of which inspires them to transform their lives and project that love in their daily lives. This love makes those individuals caring and sharing persons, who collectively engage in the society and by their actions, motivate others to also be caring and sharing, leading to a general improvement of society. Even though this process may be slow, its impact is long lasting. Baba’s inspiration of Love to millions of individuals is translated verily into Love in Action all over the world.






This Love transforms lives every second. Life acquires a new meaning. For Sai devotees there is a new path - Prema Yoga which embodies all the other yogas of Karma, Bhakti and Gnana within itself. Bhagawan has said “Live in Love” and that is the way for our continuous communion with Him.

LOVE is therefore Bhagawan’s greatest legacy, which may not be touched but is real and universal and experienced by all. It belongs to all mankind, not just to a few. It cannot be appropriated by anybody but can only be shared and experienced, for the redemption of one and all.

Educare - the True Way Education is to be Imparted

The third part of His Legacy is Education. While many others talked about it, Bhagawan postulated and introduced in His educational institutions human values based educational curricula. The system of Integral Education implemented in the Sai University is unique and unlike any other. Education in Human Values has many concepts introduced by Bhagawan, including 3-HV, and Educare. The education given in His institutions is for life and not merely for earning a living. Right from the stage of childhood, such value-based education is available in the Bal Vikas classes which are conducted throughout the length and breadth of India and in many other countries through the full-time Sai schools and Sai University. This legacy of values-based Sai Education is His priceless gift to humanity for posterity.






Sri Sathya Sai Organisation – A Spiritual Nursery for Mankind

The fourth part of His legacy is the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation, which is active in all the states of India and in 125 countries of the world. The Organisation is an instrument created by Bhagawan to enable all to perform their sadhana and achieve their spiritual goals through it. The Organisation has three wings - the spiritual, educational and service. One can choose any to perform their seva and sadhana. Today in India alone, there are 600,000 members who voluntarily serve with love and devotion. They include government officers and bureaucrats, doctors, engineers, judges and lawyers, professors and teachers, legislators, farmers, and students. They work in over 2700 villages, and in slums, hospitals, old age homes, jails, orphanages and in disaster areas, inspired by Bhagawan's message that service to man is service to God. Many of them have never even had a chance to talk to Swami, yet they have been supercharged by His divinity and have dedicated their lives to selfless service.

We see Sevadal volunteers from every state of India regularly in the ashram, in the hospitals, and in all places at Prashanti Nilayam. They come here at their own expense, lovingly giving their time and effort. For these volunteers, offering such seva is their communion with Bhagawan Baba, since they know that Bhagawan is pleased when we serve the poor and needy with love, and their faith is that Bhagawan is there where His work is done. This seva has transformed their lives and they will continue to engage in it till the end of their lives. Nobody can take their Bhagawan away from them for He is always with them. Nobody need force them to do anything, since they serve with love and devotion. For those that are served, this seva brings Bhagawan into their lives and transforms them also to in turn love and serve others.






The Organisation’s activities continue and will only increase in the future. The Youth are giving a new dynamism and energy to the Organisation, using new tools and technology to improve the efficiency of their Seva. This Legacy of Bhagawan created for human good and welfare is always His, never to be taken away by anyone but only to be shared and experienced by personal involvement.

The Sai Organisation is now active in 125 countries of the World. Bhagawan belongs not just to India and Indians but to all the citizens of this earth. They came in millions for His Love and Inspiration and they will continue to do so for He has become a part of their lives forever.

This therefore, dear brothers and sisters, is Baba’s legacy of Love. His legacy is His eternal message to Humanity. Blessed are those who knew Him. Even more blessed are those who share His legacy of LOVE ALL, SERVE ALL.
