Debo decirles que nuestra Universidad (Universidad Sri Sathya Sai para la Excelencia Humana) ha comenzado. Muchos niños se están educando. Ahora hay muchos más niños que se unirán y obtendrán educación absolutamente gratis y, definitivamente, en gran medida esto fue posible porque muchos devotos de Singapur sacrificaron desinteresadamente todo lo posible para crear este tipo de institución educativa.
Un ministro le preguntó a Narasimha Murthy: "El nombre de tu Universidad es bastante extraño: Universidad Sri Sathya Sai para la Excelencia Humana.
No he oído hablar de ninguna Universidad con este título. Tenemos Tecnología, Ingeniería, Artes, Ciencias y Comercio, Bellas Artes, Música, Danza.
¿Qué es esta Excelencia Humana?
Narasimha murthy dijo: " mejor pregúntale al que comenzó la Universidad!! (risas) aunque yo soy el canciller, no sé lo que significa!"
Así que el ministro me preguntó entonces.
Le dije: “En una Universidad de Derecho, las personas estudian derecho y se convierten en Abogados. En la Universidad de Ingeniería, estudian Ingeniería y se convierten en Ingenieros. En la Universidad de Medicina, estudian medicina y se convierten en Doctores.
Del mismo modo, cada universidad tiene un propósito y el propósito se logra al final de la graduación.
Por lo tanto, en la Universidad de Swami, un ser humano entra, llega a ser un humano excelente y se transforma en Divino. Nuestra Universidad esta para devolverle al Hombre su divinidad, la cual la ha perdido en el camino ".
Esa es la idea, el propósito con el que se ha establecido esta Universidad. Ese es el viejo ideal de la educación desde la antigüedad, en todas las culturas. El ideal de la educación era convertir al hombre en Dios; humano en divino. Eso es exactamente lo que se está logrando.
El gran crédito debe ir a los devotos de Singapur. Aunque están lejos de la India, han hecho todo lo necesario para garantizar que sea posible.

"In Swami’s University, a human being enters, becomes excellent human being and turns into Divine. Our University is to give Man his divinity back which he has lost it on the way"

I must tell you, our University (Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence) has started. Many children are getting educated. Now there are so many more children who are going to join and get education all absolutely free and definitely to a great extent this was possible because so many devotees from Singapore selflessly sacrificed whatever they could to bring up this kind of an educational institution.
A Minister asked Narasimha Murthy, "Your University name is quite strange - Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence. I have not heard of any university with this title. We have Technology, Engineering, Arts, Science and Commerce, Fine Arts, Music, Dance. What is this Human Excellence?"
Narasimha Murthy said, “You better ask the One who started the University!! (laughter) Though I am the Chancellor, but I don’t know what it means!”
So the Minister then asked Me. I said, “In a Law University, people study Law and become Lawyers. In Engineering University, they study Engineering and become Engineers! In Medical University, they study Medicine and become Doctors. Likewise, every university has a purpose and the purpose is achieved at the end of the graduation. Therefore, in Swami’s University, a human being enters, becomes excellent human being and turns into Divine. Our University is to give Man his divinity back which he has lost it on the way."
That is the idea, the purpose with which this University has been established. That is the old ideal of education since ancient times, in all cultures. The ideal of education was to turn man into God; human into divine. That is exactly what is being achieved.
The huge credit should go to the devotees of Singapore. Though they are far away from India, they have done everything required to ensure that it is possible.
