*No temido, sino querido.*
Al pasar por las calles del vecindario élite de Encinitas, en el camino de regreso del Satsang, Swami dijo: "Estados Unidos está haciendo cosas para acercarse a las otras naciones, pero solo está creando miedo. Quiere que el mundo lo idolatre, pero ¿cómo puede ser posible creando miedo? Si quiere acercarse a otras naciones, no puede ser a través del miedo, ¡sino que debe hacerse querido! No por fuerza y pujanza, sino por amor y servicio, puede llegar a ser querido. Estados Unidos necesita cambiar su forma de pensar, hablar o actuar, ya que eso también cambiaría el mundo.
Lo que Estados Unidos piensa hoy, es lo que el mundo piensa mañana. Lo que América hace hoy es lo que el mundo hace mañana. Por lo tanto, el núcleo mismo del pensamiento estadounidense necesita cambiar de 'crear miedo' a 'ser querido', evitando las armas y la guerra, y en cambio practicando el amor y la preocupación genuina por la humanidad. "
¿No es esta la razón por la cual Swami tiene tanta prisa por cambiar a Estados Unidos al construir Centros para el Desarrollo Humano en las costas este y oeste, cuna del pensamiento y la industria estadounidense?
Cuando alguien le preguntó a Swami si Estados Unidos es tan poderoso, cuál es el papel de India, Swami respondió: "Estados Unidos es como el poderoso hermano Bheema, mientras que India es como Dharmaraja, el más viejo y sabio de los cinco hermanos Pandava. Entonces, el poder de Estados Unidos y la sabiduría de la India deben ir de la mano ".
Nadie es más claro acerca de cómo se puede cambiar el mundo que Swami, concluí.

*Not Fear But Dear*
Passing through the streets of the elite neighbourhood of Encinitas, on the way back from Satsang, Swami said, “America is doing things to get nearer to the other nations, but it’s only creating fear. It wants the world to idolise it, but how can that be possible by creating fear. If it wants to get near to other nations then it can’t be through fear, but it should make itself dear! Not by force and strength, but by love and service it can become dear. America needs to change the way it thinks, speaks or acts as that would change the world too.
What America thinks today, is what the world thinks tomorrow. What America does today is what the world does tomorrow. Therefore, the very core of American thinking needs to change from ‘creating fear’ to ‘being dear’, by shunning weapons and warfare, and instead practise love and genuine concern for humanity.”
Is this not the reason why Swami is in such a great hurry to change America by building Centres for Human Development on the east and the west coasts, the cradles of American thinking and industry?
When someone asked Swami if America is so powerful what’s the role of India, Swami replied, “America is like the mighty brother Bheema, whereas India is like Dharmaraja, the eldest and wisest amongst the five Pandava brothers. So America’s might and India’s wisdom must go together.”
No one is more clear about how the world can be changed than Swami, I concluded.
