¿Cómo progresas espiritualmente y alcanzas a Dios?

INNER VIEW
By Sri Madhusudan Naidu

Student, Not Stupid!

A devotee lady, who had been witnessing the special place that Swami always has for His students in His home and heart, burst out praying, “Swami, I don’t wish for liberation anymore, instead I also want to be born as a boy in the next birth and become Your student.”

Swami smiled at her predicament and said, “Who is My student? Only those who follow My teachings and learn from them. All others are stupids, but not students."

That reminded me of what a responsibility it was to be His student. Unless we learn from Him by practising what He teaches, even if we have a student ID, roll number and a special place at Mandir closer to Him, we will still remain stupids in His eyes.

Not without a reason that Swami told the alumni during the convention in September 2014, that it is time to move from rights to responsibilities, from Children ‘of’ Sathya Sai to Children ‘for’ Sathya Sai.

Sometimes it’s so easy to be lost thinking about the rights of belonging to Him, that we forget about our responsibility to be like Him.

In London, as a devotee was driving Swami and was praying that He enables him to use this opportunity in the best possible way to grow spiritually, what Swami told him remains as an eternal reminder in my memory, ‘The soul, which upon death, realises how close it came to being with divinity during its life time but did not grasp the opportunity, is simply inconsolable,'

Well, obviously such an inconsolable soul feels extremely stupid at the end upon realising how it has wasted the precious opportunity.
DIVINE VISIT - JANUARY 3 AND 4, 2018
SRI LANKA
The sun was rising slowly filling the sky with a reddish hue, and its varying shades gently reflecting in the waters of the lake, while the clouds were still resting on the mountain peaks. It was a picture perfect beautiful morning! After breakfast, Swami came down, took some group photographs with everyone and then proceeded towards a four and a half hour drive to Batticaloa. Ever since Swami visited this part of war torn Sri Lanka for the very first time, where even today over 30,000 widows are leading a life of fear and uncertainty, He has made it a point to bless Batticaloa during every single visit. The Lord has also chosen this place for the Ashram, school and medical facility to be established as part of His continuing mission in Sri Lanka. Lunch was served to all upon arrival, and after a short rest, Swami proceeded to the Ashram land where the Sri Sathya Sai Karuna Nilayam Medical Centre stands as a beacon of free-of-cost healthcare needs for all the residents.
Swami was lovingly received with Vedam and Purna Kumbham by the children who attend the Educare classes conducted by the youth. Swami walked around the Medical Centre, which is now fully functional with a dedicated team of professionals to cater to the patients. Thereafter, Swami lit the ceremonial lamp, and there was a short programme. Dr Hyacinth, the medical doctor in charge of the Medical Centre spoke first, giving everyone an update about the day to day functioning and a brief about the kind of patients who come for medical recourse. Ms Sarojini, the Administrator...

DIVINE VISIT - JANUARY 5 AND 6, 2018
SRI LANKA
Soon after breakfast, Swami and His entourage departed for Piliyandala, which was a three and a half hour drive from Katharagama. Upon arrival at the Jayewardene residence, lunch was served to all. After a brief rest, students and staff departed from Piliyandala to visit the Kelaniya temple, while Swami and His guests proceeded to ‘Sai Malar’, residence of late Sri Rajeswaran, a devotee for many decades. Many miracles continue to take place here, and Swami had also visited ‘Sai Malar’ during His previous visit. The Lord was lovingly welcomed by Mrs Merja, daughter of Sri Rajeswaran, her mother and her husband Dr Saibal. About 75 devotees had gathered to receive Swami who was welcomed with Purna Kumbham and Veda chanting. After a few Bhajans, Swami spoke briefly about how God installs Himself, wherever His glory is sung. “There is no place where God is not there; He is everywhere. But when devotees sing His glory and there is purity of devotion in that place, He manifests and installs Himself there. Where devotees search for God, God is also in search of His true devotees!”
Swami explained about the true meaning of Bhakti, devotion. He said love for God and faith are two sides of the same coin, and this is Bhakti. Without one, the other does not have value. He urged everyone to have total and complete faith in God! Mangala Arati was offered, and Prasadam was distributed to everyone. Swami then proceeded back to Piliyandala along with His guests. Upon arrival, Swami called all His students to His room and spoke to them about Sri Lanka, about Mrs Penny Jayewardene, and her....

HOW DO YOU MAKE SPIRITUAL PROGRESS AND REACH GOD? – DIVINE DISCOURSE SUMMARY – JANUARY 07, 2018
Though God is present everywhere at all times in all places, yet most do not understand or experience this. Why is it so? How is it that He is understood, experienced by only a few and not everyone though He is everywhere? Purity of mind is extremely important. Unless one has developed this purity of mind which is the tool with which one perceives the world here and beyond, one cannot experience the presence of God. The Manasarovar that lies within our own selves which is our own mind, when it is steady and pure, that is when we are able to see the Lord and His reflection.

Every thought that we think is extremely important in maintaining the purity and the steadiness of mind. Pure thoughts mean thoughts that are divine in nature, thoughts that will elevate you and take you closer to God.  However, if the thoughts are of selfish nature, that which cause negative feelings within you, that which disturbs the peace and the rest of your mind, then they have to be avoided.  When such thoughts come and disturbs the peace or the steadiness and purity of the mind, then what should you do? You should wait, you should allow for the water or the thoughts and your mind to settle down again. When some thoughts come and disturb us, we should not....

WHAT IS THE SOURCE OF HAPPINESS? – DIVINE DISCOURSE SUMMARY – JANUARY 1, 2018
Man is eternally in search of supreme peace. Without knowing where is this peace available in its true form – that peace which will remain eternal, which is of the highest kind, which will not go once it comes – man unaware runs hither thither to gain it. Nitya shuddha buddha mukta nirmala svarupinam – this is the quality of that peace which when comes, never leaves. Such a peace that is eternal, that is all aware, full of Prajnana, that is pure without any blemishness which is free, which is of the unmaligned kind, completely uncontaminated, sublime, such is the peace that once it comes, never leaves.
Peace is the supreme nature of every being. It is one’s birthright and nobody should be able to take it away from you. It is man himself who is the cause of destruction of his own peace. It is his own ego, it is his own attachments which do not allow himself to be at peace.  Such a person who dwells in the supreme unchangeable divine peace, even if everything is falling apart around him, will still remain in peace. Such a person who is so full of attachment and ego will not find peace within and will not find peace without; he, in fact, would also be the reason for the destruction of the peace of others who are around. Such a person who is pure, who is aware, who is free from all kinds of bondages and attachments, who is always dwelling in this state of changeless peace will bring peace to all others also who are around.
The world is designed in such a way that at one point of time, if you experience gain, another point of time, you must experience a loss; if at one point of time you experience pleasure, at another...
