" No tengo nombre."

Estaba preguntándole a Swami, mentalmente.

Luego, poco a poco me abrí. ¡No hubo sorpresa!

Y luego visitàramos a Kedarnath.

Sri Madhusudan Naidu at 'Tattva Sameeksha' (June 16, 2018), Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli.

('Tattva Sameeksha' is a Talk session by eminent speakers to the Ashram residents of Sathya Sai Grama in Muddenahalli).

‘The one who has Jnana Chakshu (third eye) open, His perception increases and He can see, perceive, and experience things beyond the realms of physicality’.

I wanted to share with you how Swami operates at different levels. We only see this world in unidimensional way. But there are multidimensions, multilayers of this universe and parallel universes and existences which we hardly know about. They say in our scriptures, the one who has Jnana Chakshu (third eye) open, His perception increases and He can see, perceive, and experience things beyond the realms of physicality.

I wanted to tell about what happened in my life in these wonderful trips. In May 2012, Swami had told me and three of my other friends to go to Badrinath. I had never been to Himalayas though we lived in Central India. To this one particular friend, Swami asked to carry some blankets because we were going to meet a very ancient sage at Badrinath! And he had to give him these blankets and tell him Baba had sent it as blessings. We asked Swami as to when will we meet this sage and how will he recognize us? Swami said, on August 17, 2012, at 7 am in Badrinath temple he would meet us! And said, we didn’t have to recognize him but he would recognize us! How mystical! This was in May 2012 and Swami tells then that, in August 2012, we would meet the sage! Swami said this Rishi was hundreds of years old! Obviously, whatever Swami commanded, we said we would do.

Four of us landed in Badrinath on August 16! I have written about it in the first part of THE STORY DIVINE book too. We came from different places and met at Badrinath. One of our friends, Gowri Shankar told us that something mysterious had happened on his way to Badrinath near Hanuman Chatti. This is the place where Lord Hanuman was supposed to have played the trick on Bhima to quash his ego. He put his tail across the road. And when Bhima wanted to cross, Hanuman Ji would not budge. When Bhima asked him to remove his tail from the path, He said, ‘What is there? After all I am an old monkey! You are so powerful. You only can shift it!’ When Bhima tried his best and could not do it, his ego was therefore shattered and he accepted Hanuman Ji and took His blessings. Our Gowri Shankar was coming in the taxi all by himself and the driver when near Hanuman Chatti he saw a man in ochre robes, probably 40-45 years of age who stopped him for a lift. He was a mendicant dressed in ochre and wanted a lift to Badrinath. So Gowri Shankar invited him reverentially into the car. On the way he asked the mendicant his name. And he replied,
‘I have no name’!
Then Gowri asked him as to why he was here?
‘Lord of Badri has called me, so I have come!’
Where are you from?
‘I am from Guptakashi’.
Guptakashi is somewhere near Kedar, Badri valley. The conversation got over. The mendicant was a man of very few words, did not speak much, and reveal much.

On the August 16th evening, we went to the temple. Behind the temple, there is Adi Shankara statue installed to honour his efforts of rejuvenating Badrinath and establishing it. Some groups of devotees were very nicely singing bhajans. As we were listening to the bhajans, a mendicant came and sat right in front of us. Gowri nudged me and said, ‘This is the man who came with me in the car’. I looked at him and then I prayed to Swami. Swami appeared there and said he was the man whom we were going to meet the meet the next day! Then I took a closer look at him, his beard was still black and not grey so I thought that he could not be hundreds of years old. But then I thought, in Himalayas we can never know the mysticism! People can be hundreds of years old but look very young. Whereas, we may be very young but look hundreds of years old!! When we were coming out, Gowri introduced us to the saint and we exchanged pleasantries. We bought him some dinner and we went to our hotel. Swami had told us to come next morning. We promptly went next morning. Suprabhat Seva was over. Somehow we woke up late and reached the temple only at quarter past five. Swami wanted us to be there from 5 am, though our meeting was supposed to be at 7 am! He was seemingly upset. We cried and pleaded with Him not be harsh. Then Swami said don’t cry, there is another Pooja that will take place now. Buy a ticket and go inside. We took the ticket. So here are four of us standing in the queue. Swami says how can you go empty handed? Go; get some Tulsi mala for the Lord. Now if I leave the queue and go, I don’t know whether I can get back into the temple in time. But then we see a man walking inside the temple with Tulsi garlands. Generally, they don’t sell garlands inside the temple. But to our luck we got one so we buy and keep it with us. You won’t believe, in such a crowded temple, we were just four of us for that particular Pooja called the Veda Parayana Pooja during which they chant Narayana Suktam, Purusha Suktam to Lord Badrinath. So four of us sat right at the silver door sill, face to face with the whole altar and the Lord. And Swami appeared there in the yellow robe, I remember, and He explained to me pointing to the altar, this is Badrinath, this is Kuber, Garuda, Narada; He Himself explained all this and it was followed by the commentary from the priests. We could get a chance to chant Narayana Suktam and Purusha Suktam sitting there right in front of Badri Vishal. They gave us so much time because Swami saw to it that we were the only four people who bought the ticket. By the time we came out, it was quarter to seven. And then I remembered, we have an appointment at seven with the sage! What do we do? How do I identify him? I was asking Swami, mentally. Swami said the sage will come and sit near the Shankaracharya statue and we should sit at the side. We went and sat there. For ten minutes we kept on meditating, but lot of tension. Will we identify the man or not? Just a minute before seven, the same man came and sat near the Shankaracharya statue!I opened my eyes and he was the same man whom we had seen the previous day! Swami appeared to me and said he has come. Call him, talk to him. His name is Akhileshwarananda. Obviously, he had not told his name to Gowri Shankar or to any one of us because he said he had no name. One of us approached him and asked him to come and sit near us. Then I slowly opened up. I told him I am from Bangalore, Baba’s student. Sathya Sai Baba sent me here and He told me we would meet you here today at this point in time. He said, ‘But Baba has passed away isn’t it?’ Then we said, Baba is physically not there but spiritually He is there. And then he said as a a matter of fact, ‘Of course! All these personalities don’t die. Their bodies go but they remain.’ He understood because in the Himalayas, this is a very common thing. There is no surprise! In down south or in the plains, it’s a big shocking concept. How could Baba be around? But in Himalayas, it’s so natural, because so many of the masters in the subtle bodies in Himalayas are guiding so many aspirants. That is the truth. I asked him if his name was Akhileshwarananda. He immediately smiled and said that it was the name by which people called him in the Himalayas. But he also said that it was not his true name. However he was very touched when I told him ababa revealed it to me, because this was a secret between Swami and him. Then I told him, He has sent us here saying we would see you. And we have to hand over the blanket to you and Baba’s photo. Then he said, but I don’t want too much luggage you see. I just live with meager things. We said this is Baba’s Prasad and so he accepted reverentially. And then he looked at Badrinath temple and remarked, ‘Hamara connection hogaya!’ (We have been connected!) Badrinath Ji told me to come this morning at seven to this temple and there Baba told you to come at seven to this temple. And I did not know the reason whereas you knew the reason. But this is the reason I have understood now, that we were supposed to meet. As we were walking out of the temple, I heard Swami’s voice asking me to tell him to look after his stomach. ‘He is not taking food on time and his liver is getting affected’. So I told him and he started crying. He then clicked a picture with all of us since we wanted to have it as a memory. Then he asked us to come to Guptakashi when we visited next time. He also told us, you are very blessed because you are from the world and yet you have attained so much in the field of spirituality(Well this is something which we don’t realize because Swami gives it to us so easily) We live in Himalayas and we don’t have it, he said so. As we were parting, Gowri Shankar very innocently asked can we have your phone number to contact you when we come to Guptakashi! He laughed and said, the way we met today, the same way we will meet again! Lord will take care. And then he walked away from us and we never met him again.

Fast forward, in 2013, Swami told me to go to Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. He again chose a fresh set of people, the only common people being myself and Gowri Shankar. The other four were new friends. Swami guided us to go through Nepal route and not through the Delhi route. And that time the cloudburst happened in Kedarnath region and the whole temple premises was destroyed due to floods and lot of damage happened to the temple as well as down in the valley, the rains destroyed lot of houses and property and many lost their lives. Even today Kedarnath area is still to recover from the damage that has happened. The whole place looks like a mess. When we came back from Mansarover, we thanked Swami for looking after us by not getting us caught in the cloudburst. We had come back safe and happy. Just a few days or a week later, one day when I was in my house in Bangalore, I saw Akhileshwarananda Ji standing in the room and he looked very sad. It was so real a vision, and I thought to myself as to why was he here. Then the conversation happened in the thought level, not physically. I asked him why you are here? He said, due to Kedarnath floods I am no more. However, I want you to come to my place and offer worship at Kedarnath temple in my name. Then I asked Swami what do we do? Swami said not now, five years later! It was June 2013 then.

Exactly five years later, in June 2018, we went to Kedarnath! All the people were new, the only common person being Gowri Shankar who had witnessed all the three happenings; meeting Swami Akhileshwaranand ji in Kedarnath, then the Kedarnath floods and five years later, visiting Kedarnath! During this trip, we stayed at Guptakashi. Swamiji had then asked us to visit Guptakashi. And then we visited Kedarnath. We were received with big fanfare. All the temple priests were there chanting Vedas, garlanding us and a special pooja was organized. Swami was taken straight into the sanctum sanctorum, royally like an emperor. All the priests were ready with all the pooja material waiting for Swami to do the pooja. Pilgrims usually hardly get a glimpse of the Lord due to the heavy rush. We were doing Abhisheka to the Swayambhu (the linga that has come up by itself), the Lord at Kedarnath. And then I suddenly remembered, Oh! We had to pray for Akhileshwarananda Ji, and the moment I remembered him in my thoughts while doing the pooja (all this happening parallelly), immediately I saw him standing opposite (in the subtle form) with tears rolling down the cheeks with so much of gratitude to Swami that we made it to Kedarnath and fulfilled some last desire of his, a prayer that had remained in his heart to offer worship at Kedarnath which he could not do probably because he passed away on the way to Kedarnath. What royal redemption for Akhileshwarananda Ji! God goes Himself to redeem a devotee who prayed to Him.

Then I asked Swami who this Akhileshwarananda Swamiji was because he did not look like hundreds of years old saint. My imagination was someone who is brilliant looking sanyasi with long locks of matted hair and ash smeared on the body, very mystical appearance. But he was rather young and looked like a normal man. Then Swami said, when I visited Badrinath in 1961, this saint was 108 years old! Swami had fed Sadhus there and this saint had prayed to Swami to visit again and see him. Soon after Swami’s visit, he might have passed away. So he was reborn as this man who was only 45 years or so according to his appearance. So, I put all the dates and time together and everything fitted perfectly like a puzzle. Swami went in 1961, met this Sanyasi who was 108 years old, and then he probably passed away soon after the visit, he wanted Swami to visit again and bless him. So Swami sent me like this in 2012 to meet and bless him, and then when he passed away, probably in Kedarnath floods the very next year, Swami saw to it that He went five years later to Kedarnath temple to redeem him, to fulfill his last wish of a prayer in his name! With His own hands He performed the puja and I saw this sanyasi with tears of gratitude flowing down his cheeks. That is Swami. In how many dimensions parallelly He operates. Of course, other than this, we saw many visions, many beautiful things during the recent trip.
