Prasanthi Nilayam, heaven on earth, HOME of every Sai devotee, has seen a set of sevadals who have been serving the holyland for 3 long decades (very quietly with no fanfare) unmindful of the scorching summer heat of Puttaparthi to facelift the Prashanthi Nilayam premises every year..
Todo ocurrió en el año 1986, cuando el hombre principal detrás de este GRUPO DE MANTENIMIENTO DE PRASANTHI (PMG), Sri. B.M. Wadegonkar ( Vadey- gaon-) amorosamente llamado como el coche "BMW o Kaká", fue bendecido con una entrevista con Bhagavan.
It all happened in the year 1986 when the main man behind this PRASHANTHI MAINTENANCE GROUP (PMG), Sri. B.M. Wadegonkar (Vadey- gaon- car) lovingly called as "BMW or Kaka" was blessed with an interview with Bhagawan.
En la entrevista Swami dijo: "Usted es un millonario ya que todo Prashanti Nilayam es suyo". A pesar de que parecía una declaración informal de Swami, el señor BMW miró dentro y se preguntó ¿qué es eso que estoy haciendo a "mi casa"? Esta fue la semilla que fue sembrada que ahora se convierte en un árbol gigantesco, donde sevadals desde la edad de 6 a 80 años en multitud vienen a Prashanti en el mes de mayo y hacen lo que sea poco o mucho o lo que puedan hacer. Esto incluye la eliminación de todas las malas hierbas, arbustos, plantas espinosas, la reparación de los tanques sépticos, sistema de drenaje, la limpieza de todas las habitaciones que se alquilan a los devotos etc.
In the interview Swami said "You are a millionaire as the whole Prashanthi Nilayam is yours". Even though it sounded a casual statement by Swami but Mr. BMW looked within and asked What is that i am doing to "my home"? This was the seed that was sown which is now become a gigantic tree where sevadals from the age of 6 to 80 throng to Prasanthi in the month of May and do what ever little they can do. This includes removing all the weeds, bush, thorny plants, repairing the septic tanks, drainage system, cleaning up all the rooms that are let out to devotees etc.
Muchas veces se puede ver a los niños acompañados de sus madres prestandosu mano de ayuda en trapear, barrer, etc. que recuerda a la pequeña ardilla que ha participado en la construcción del puente en el Ramayana .. A través de los años el grupo PMG ha desarrollado una gran relación con las autoridades del ashram, y Swami acostumbra bendecir profusamente el grupo PMG que tenía voluntarios de toda la India y de todos los ámbitos de la vida.
Many a times you can see kids accompanied by their mothers lending their helping hand in mopping, sweeping etc reminding of the little squirrel which took part in building the bridge in Ramayana.. Over the years the PMG group has developed a great rapport with the ashram authorities and Swami used to profusely bless the PMG group which had volunteers from all over India and from all walks of life.

Este año, que también pasa a ser el año 90 de la llegada de Bhagavan, el equipo PMG estaba ocupado en los caminos de cemento dentro del ashram, la limpieza de todo el recinto. Cada voluntario trabaja con máxima dedicación, no importa cuán grande o pequeña, ordenada o descuidado sea el trabajo que se les asigna, dejando de lado su estatus social, ya que la mayoría de ellos vienen de trabajos en sectores muy bien pagos como el software y la banca.
This year, which also happens to be the 90th year of the advent of Bhagawan, the PMG team was busy laying the cement roads within the ashram, cleaning up the whole premises. Every volunteer works with utmost dedication no matter how small or big, neat or untidy the work assigned to them is, setting aside their societal status as most of them are well off working in highly paid sectors like software and banking.

PARTHI YATRA BY DEVOTEES OF GUNTUR DISTRICT, ANDHRA PRADESH:
A medida que el curso académico 2015-2016 se inició en la India en la primera semana de junio, Puttaparthi estaba de vuelta con entusiasmo burbujeante cuando profesores, estudiantes volvieron después de 50 días de vacaciones de verano. Como acaba de empezar a llover en Prashanti, una avalancha de 3.000 devotos del distrito de Guntur "horno" de Andhra Pradesh vino a Puttaparthi el 7 de junio como parte de sus 3 días Parthi Yatra( peregrinacion). Me dijeron que había un 70% de los devotos para quienes era su primer visita a la santa morada. La Organización Sathya Sai de Guntur tenía un plan perfecto en el lugar donde se habían hecho arreglos para un recorrido histórico de Parthi, una puja paduka especial en el Auditorio Poorna Chandra fue realizado donde los devotos llevaron padukas( sandalias) para una puja especial que también incluyó Hanuman Chalisa y Yagna bajo la guía de sacerdotes de renombre ..
As the academic year 2015-2016 started in India in the first week of June, Puttaparthi was back into bubbling enthusiasm as teachers, students returned after 50 days of summer vacation. As it just started raining in Prashanthi, a flood of 3000 devotees from Andhra Pradesh's "furnace" Guntur district came to Puttaparthi on June 7th as part of their 3 day Parthi Yatra. I was told that there were 70% of devotees for whom it was a maiden visit to the holy abode. The Sathya Sai Organisation of Guntur had a perfect plan in place where they had made arrangements for a sight seeing tour of Parthi, a special paduka puja in Poorna Chandra Auditorium was conducted where devotees carried padukas for special puja which also included Hanuman Chalisa and Yagna under the guidance of renowned priests..

Como parte del 90 año de la llegada de Swami, el Parti Yatra por los devotos de Guntur era sólo un prolegómeno, ya que hay tantos Parthi Yatras (peregrinaciones a Parthi) planeados a través del año hasta finales de noviembre. Casi todos los países se preparan para visita a Prashanti, además de varios estados de la India y Centros Sai que tienen una serie de programas previstos en Prashanti Nilayam en donde van a estar llegando en grandes grupos. Esto va a ser una gran tarea para la gestión ashram y los arreglos ya están en marcha.
As part of 90th year of Swami's advent, the Parthi Yatra by Guntur devotees was just a curtain raiser as there are so many Parthi Yatras (Parthi pilgrimages) planned right through the year until the end of November. Almost all the countries are given slots for visit to Prashanthi, apart from various states of India and Sai Centers who have series of programmes planned in Prashanthi Nilayam where in they will be coming in big groups. This is going to be a mighty task for the ashram management and arrangements are already underway.
La parte buena recientemente es que más y más "nuevos" devotos vienen a buscar las bendiciones de Swami. Cada uno se asombra mirando el buen trabajo realizado por Swami y llevando una buena impresion de vuelta a sus hogares.
The good part in the recent past is more and more "new" devotees are coming to seek Swami's blessings. Every one is awe struck looking at the good work done by Swami and taking back some good quality or other back to their homes.
